The subject of Garcia is one that really splits, opinion. Just wondered what you may feel about this, especially with the games against Barcelona in mind? <a class="postlink" href="http://worldsoccertalk.com/2014/01/15/why-javi-garcia-is-going-to-be-hugely-important-for-manchester-city/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://worldsoccertalk.com/2014/01/15/w ... ster-city/</a>

The fact the author has to use 5 pages to try and justify him tells me everything I need to know. He tackles with his arms ffs. He is not good enough anyone saying otherwise is blinded by the fact he's in blue.
So does Barry to be fair. Most of his yellow cards last season came from him grabbing someone by the shirt collar and pulling them back as they blazed by him.

Barry knew his time was up when we went and bought Fernandinho in june and he wasn't going to sit on the bench and hope for a game.

Barry was exceptional in his time with us and helped us to where we are now but new manager and new ideas seen Barry not fit in.

the question i would ask you is would you have barry back instead of Fernandinho?

like for like no you wouldn't but we didn't know that in august when we let barry leave. moreso cos dino's form was luke warm at best in the early days, so much so we lost games where barry would have given us better protection being used to the surroundings. fast forward 5 months and with dino settled and playing out of his skin Barry would not get in the side ahead of him, but lets say we rotate, or dino gets a red card or is injured,

so I ask you this.
would you put Barry in or Rodwell if that should happen?

thought so.

yet Garcia would replace dino if injured so not sure where the rodwell question come from?

even worse. should have kept gaz baz.

I thought Barry was poor last season . He cost us in the F.A cup by miss placing a pace to Zabaleta and getting Pablo sent off . I think the loan move was good for Barry and City . I think Garcia as been good this season . So Pellergrini and the board were right to let Barry go .

yet he wasnt going to play second fiddle to dino..he choose to leave and the right decision to talented to be left on the bench but not enough to replace dino and im glad he is doing well with everton.

mate your old enough to know over the years we dont like to let go of our favorite players but at times it is the better of the club as long as the decisions were the right ones and this one was.

Zaba got Zaba sent off, which was the biggest contributor to us losing. That and the players playing as if they'd been hypnotized.

Don't be silly Barry put Pablo in a right pickle in that match . At least we don't have put up Barry losing the ball again this season .

One of the country's best right backs should be able to work out it's better to be 1-0 down with 20 to go than down to 10 men.

But both mistakes are uncharacteristic and symptomatic of a very very under par day. Alas, my only cup final :(
