Much as we like to deride the buggers they are still a top 4 side.
A point at the swamp is never a bad thing as long as we stuff them at our gaffe ;-)

If everyone is fit and we play a 4-2-3-1 we have Silva, Sterling, de Bruyne, Nasri, Navas and (depending on where you think he's best suited) Toure to deploy as attacking midfield players. In the defensive 2 there's the two Ferns, Delph and Toure. That's more than adequate strength in depth.

Up front is the problem but you won't get a player at or close to Aguero's level to sit on the bench waiting for an injury to get game time. I hope Iheanacho gets a full game on Wednesday so we can see what he can do in a competitive scenario.

Agreed, but even if we had another striker on par with Aguero, with a possible 60 matches a season, I'm confident they'd both get more than enough games per season including internationals.

Imo we have enough strength in depth for the Prem, but its in Europe against the elite where the drop from Aguero to Bony seems to be a drop too far.

There weren't as many as in previous years bit still quite a few. Someone was even shouting abuse at the wearers as they got up to the concourse. The most amusing thing (other than Shrek's £300k a week for four years) was that some rag clowns were buying them after the match as souvenirs of the worst derby for many years.
As for the rags not mustering one song; I think hearing aids are in order.
They weren't particularly loud, or tuneful, or remotely amusing, but they managed a few of the usual ditties.
The scenes outside were quite worrying: they seem to have even more tourists than usual and every time I walk past our main entrance before the game I fear we might go down the same route.

#MCFC have won 6 of the last 8 Premier League derbies, outscoring #MUFC by 21 to 10. Rampant.

And I think that's part of the problem with the result yesterday; we are used to beating them and we have the better players even without Sergio, Dave, Samir, Fabian etc. Several of those previous games were absolute hammerings and even the 1-0 home win last season would have been more emphatic had the three nailed-on penalties been awarded. The 1-0 when Vince scored was also extremely one-sided.
We've seen what we can do to the clowns when we put our minds to it hence the disappointment with a draw.

the turtle says we were lucky , smallpiece saying we were hanging on , nice to see our players and management keeping their counsel , let our football do the talking for the rest of the season , the rags can have their hard luck stories whilst we are filling our trophy cabinet. One cracking post on the caff that I saw that said because we'd been battered last season, we came for a point and showed them much more respect. This proved (to the poster at least) how much they'd come on as a team under the Turtle as we were much more frightened of them.

That is a RAWKish level of delusion.

Sorry but have to disagree.
Too many City fans said the opposite yesterday,that it showed how good the Rags were,because we GAINED a point,because we got hammered last season 4-2.
Now who is dissalusioned ??
I make no apologies for repeating myself yesterday,the Rags are a piss poor team.If I am wrong in your opinions then I wish you had been with me tonight at dominoes in Mid Cheshire with a load of Rag fans (some of whom are ST Holders and have been for years) who claim they are definitely NOT a top four team.
I`ll let you make of those comments what you will,but they are not a happy lot in the manner in which they set up,with acknowledging that that we had our best two players out.
Their lack of support for their Manager left a lot to be desired and all felt that they (as a team) were a long way behind City.

I'm sure it's been said before but Sunday shows how hard it's going to be to find Yaya a place in our side for big games. He can't play in a 2 man midfield and isn't mobile enough for a number 10 or centre forward.

We lose a lot in terms of passing and control without him but we can be very exposed when he plays.

I had a look at the their Player Ratings on the MuEN web site yesterday - De Gea was getting 8s - he didn't have anything to do other than deal with back passes so at best it should have been 6 - shows how deluded they all are.
