The deterioration of Blue Moon

Sigh said:
I think it's rather a good idea. I am tired of reading ever-so-thoughtful musings that invariably de-humanize and pre-emptively bully the reader, should the reader be in disagreement.

I'd prefer to see abuse man-to-man, rather than the incessant streams of cowardly snide that condemn un-named blues by their hundreds and thousands.

Imagine what goes back and forth via pm.

Leaning against an open door there fellah!

I was born in Manchester, I live in Manchester, I will die in Manchester.

I live City, I dream City, I breath City.

I was born a City fan into a family of City fans. I am named after Michael Summerbee.

I have 6,000 loyalty points. I can't remember the last time I missed a domestic game home or away. I watch City abroad in both competitive European games and pre season friendlies.

I have watched City in the third division. I have watched City compete for silverware.

I am by no means a wealthy individual. City is my life and in the hierarchy of what's important to me City always comes out at the top. Only my health and my children are of greater importance and even then I have risked my health and let down my children for the club I love.

In no particular order I have little or no time for people on BM who:

Have chosen (for whatever reason to support City) and then have the nerve to slag them off.

Have chosen to live outside Manchester and then complain that they can't get to games.

Don't go to games then whinge when they can't get a ticket for the Swamp and other important fixtures.

Don't go to games and then claim to be an authority on a particular matter or incident just because they have heard some so called pundit say it or have seen it from 20 different camera angles.

Think they are better or more knowledgable than me just because they have clocked up more posts than I have, forgetting that whilst they are furiously banging away on their keyboard whilst watching the game on TV, I am freezing my nuts off at the game.

Have an opinion about something that they haven't witnessed first hand, especially when they believe to be more informed than someone who was actually there.

Moan when things don't go our way when haven't suffered first hand, the indignity of watching City play a completive league game at Macclesfield, seen us lose to Lincoln, stood and watched in silence as Paul Lake struggled for his life.

Criticise Roberto Manchester when they haven't witnessed first hand a completive game under Frank Clark, Alan Ball, Phil Neal (to name but three)

Criticise Garry Cook when they haven't experienced life under Peter Swales.

Slag off players during the game like Jo yet haven't heard of Lee Bradbury or Carl Griffiths.

Make light of Munich without realising the true impact it had on Manchester

I could go on.

Bluemoon is good at what it does but I’m afraid to say we will never live in harmony whilst there is such disparity between the various groups of fans.

The problem with having a premium site based on post count is that you inevitably end up with the "introductory" board being swamped by posters toting up their count with inane and meaningless drivel... just so they can qualify for the main board.

You see it now... a new poster with 800 posts in the space of a month... and you can't remember a single opinion they've made!

Christ!, we've even got Arsenal and Everton fans with large post counts, and I can't see any justification for them having precedence over City fans!

Only change we need is a stronger Mod presence, with no favouritism being shown.

If it's just me I'm sorry but I would prefer to read a thread as stupid and banal as the shitbag on the train, where I believe the OP would have got some much needed education in social graces in amongst the banter written, than reading the endless threads doubting certain players abilities.
I don't agree with every word written in the forum but I would'nt think of lambasting someone's opinion just like I would not try to take someones reseverved seat and make a complete twat of myself into the bargain.
If you don't like a thread don't post and move on. - isn't this just social grace? Having levels in a forum - surely that defeats the whole object?

They are called PARAGRAPHS you Illiterate ball bag sucking fuckweed.

New user forum with a minimum time probation served, not just a number of posts before being allowed on the main boards. It would weed out the rags who just want an hours fun and it would show new users that certain standards of posting is required, ie, no attention seeking bullshit, or abuse.

Zero tolerance on any abuse. The rules are there, they just need to be informed.

For posters like TH, Sources made known to Ric alone and once he has said its ok for them to post ITK info as he is satisfied they are not wums, away they go and anyone who decides to play at being an internet/ITK policeman can duly get fucked right off.
