The funny thing is, is that its people like DD and BS who have different views to others and are quite happy to give abuse to others on the forum in a very condescending manner should people voice opposing views, but then go on to create threads such as this. However, some points have been raised in this thread that may hopefully contribute to a minor clean up of the forum.

Well, I think there should be a minimum character limit for replies.

What's the point of ^/ditto/wtf/? /etc, for example, as a contribution to a discussion?

It's the same reason I am really glad we don't have avatars on here

well i agree with you and think its a good idea that we dont have avatars because they're tacky and crass.. Or i could say ditto or put a ^ which is agreeing with you too...horses for courses really tbh ( sorry meant "to be honest" ) posters put short charachters in because they do excactly what they say on the tin.. yes you could call it laziness but many do it..

Sometimes a well placed "twat" is all that's needed. The same turgid negativity repeated ad infinitum offers considerably less to a forum than a well placed "cock" or "shitbag". It's more apparent in these post-cabalien salad days that the three stooges did nothing but sail on seas of self-validationary nonsense with opinions which have been proved to be the flotsam and jetsam we said they were at the time. Without his backslapping buddies around to glorify his anti-city rhetoric the OP has become a sad ghost of his former vainglorious self, but rather that take the hit and admit that his anti-Mancini stance was wrong he rather blames the demise of the forum. What we really need is his contributions to this thread written as the subtitles to the famous downfall clip to offer some true insight.

i don't think that's a valid argument

sometimes the smallest replies are the funniest

but i suppose that's what we are losing sight of. this is a site that is multi-faceted, and regardless of what people say about the mods, is mostly a democracy

like has been said before, you need to let the place flow.

In the pub, you mate makes a valid point, do you say, yeah I agree, or do you repeat his whole point to ensure you are not using too short an answer?

"this" etc is a good way or letting a poster know they have made a point you agree with.
