the earth is flat...apparently

I watched a guy on the tele the other night say that the earth was flat and I just laughed at the tele. I laugh at this thread in the same way.

This thread is hilarious! People saying other people are ridiculous for thinking the earth is flat, seems we have two choices, the earth is flat and there is a higher being (a creator if you like) but the sensible choice is that we are on a ball flying through space at over 1000 mph!
Now I'm not advocating the earth is flat BUT just imagine if it was, the I don't give a fuck as were all here by complete accident would be gone (mostly!) we would obviously have a creator and the flat earth would be proof. I don't absolutely believe the earth is flat but I'm not convinced it's a ball, mainly because I do not believe a fucking word the "government" tell me.

I looked into this about 6 months ago and thought it would take me 15 mins to debunk this. The more I researched it, the more a mindf*ck it became. The Flat Earthers seem to have more tangible evidence that it's flat, that you yourself can try for yourself. To prove the round earth we rely on government organizations namely NASA, as they control anything going into space. I do think NASA could end all this tomorrow by just turning the Hubble telescope round and give us a live feed of the earth spinning, but they never have and won't for some reason. It's crazy to think that we have no pictures of the full earth taken from space..all the ones NASA show are CGI composites. Do your own research, a thought provoking watch is . I will be waiting for the Space X flight next year as Musk says he will have live cameras on throughout the flight, which will put an end to this one way or the other.
 
I sometime use a sextant to find my position when sailing. Could someone explain how my walking LOP fixes work on a flat earth?
When flying i use an initial reference unit which relies on some pretty fancy spherical trigonometry to output earth frame reference they needn't have bothered. And Ive been to 49'000 ft. Trust me. Its fucking round.
