The end of chip shop gravy?

They'll think of something to replace polystyrene trays.

We now have cardboard holding 4 tins of beer, and we never foresaw that a few years ago.
Exactly. It's why 'personal choice' is always bullshit when it comes to stuff like environmental issues. Who's more likely to make an impact? The single mum trying to decide whether to buy the the biodegradable one that costs twice the price, or the multi-billion pound packaging company with a huge research and development division?

I love how KFC advertise gravy over there fried chicken as if it’s normal - who the f*ck does that? Disgusting
Disagree, you add the flour to the oil after you've fried the chicken thus making a roux. Add stock, milk or water, whatever floats your boat.
Delish !

It needs to happen, however I have serious doubts about what it will be replaced with.

So far we've seen the introduction of paper straws that become useless the moment they come into contact with liquid, and wooden cutlery that gives you splinters whilst you eat. So I think we're probably on course for takeaway seaweed mesh nets that ooze out the sauces and burn your hands at this rate.

Should have been banned a long time ago , you can get containers made from vegetables and other recyclable sources that aren't too expensive now.

why ? plenty of non plastic and biodegradable take a way trays exist made from bamboo or palm sugar, what needs to hapen is cost come down at present a poly tray is about 1p-8p each an enviromentaly friendly on 21p-47p before VAT which is why many catering businesses still go plastic
