I use mine not far from the athletes track. The area has been under the restrictions for well over a season now and I've never been ticketed. Every car that doesn't have a blue badge gets a ticket thou.I have a Blue Badge and the booklet on using it advises that you can Park anywhere (except double RED lines) for up to 3 hours providing you do not cause any obstruction or park dangerously. I can’t see this being a case of ‘Doesnt apply near The Etihad’
