The End of on Street Parking within walking distance of the Etihad

Couldn’t agree more with the general gist of what you say. Law abiding decent citizens are a soft target for these type of cunts who would for example slyly watch a nice middle aged lady casually throw a tiny cigarette butt away and then heavy handedly and without compromise issue her with a £100 fine yet would watch a big skinhead piss all over a shop window and just walk on by without doing anything.

That said, I’d probably stop short of slashing their neck were they to collar me for something.

Overreaction of the century by me but you get my point. None of these busy bodies who put these plans in place would actually confront the general public. So much red tape it's untrue, always trying to find ways to con more cash and be a general pain in the arse to joe public. Another option would be to get a cheap shed of a car to use to park at the football, don't bother insuring or taxing it, take the hit on the fines each week as you'll never pay them.

Isnt Ashton New Road like the rest of the nearby roads ie restricted parking & 90 minute maximum? Lots parking there today certainly but didn’t see any tickets on windscreens
All the cars that park on Ashton new road near Asda display blue disabled badges
I seen a minibus park up at 11.00am today but displayed 12pm obviously a hour later. The wardens issued them a parking ticket.Extra time or penalties would create 100's of parking fines.

And that's why I chose to give it up after 25 years.
There should be a reliable Park and Ride service for games - it should have been devised for the Commonwealth Games with large parking areas and closures of lanes into the stadium area.
I like the idea of getting cars off the road, but Burnham doesn't actually have a plan to do that he simply thinks we can be like London by painting buses yellow!!!
Burnham needs dragging out of Manchester and dragging all the way back to Liverpool by his balls.
The guy is a piece of shit.

Yeah I noticed very few, if any, tickets anywhere in bays.

Strangely that bit of Ashton New Road opposite The Grove and second hand car lot doesn't seem to have any restrictions or have I missed them? It's rammed hours before the game now though anyway.

Walking back after the game noticed that none of the vehicles that had parked up in these new bays in Clayton had been issued a parking ticket, however numerous parking tickets issued to vehicle that had taken a chance and parked on the new double yellow lines.
ditto

Only ever had one parking ticket and it was off a third party on a Sainsbury's car park. I just feel we'd be better off with less governance in this country. Always some faceless **** wanting to rob money or make life harder for you in UK, and we've all been scared into subordination.

If a small group of us took it to the council on the ground i.e keep vandalising all their signs and parking lines, they'd back off eventually as it would cost them too much in maintenance. Most of the new parking restrictions don't even affect so called residents. It's been done to fuck as many people over as possible with no thought. Sad little button pushers sat in council office jobs hungry over power. Any of us would slash their fucking necks if they tried to take us on in person, the police can also get it as well if they want to get involved. We ain't got too much to shout about or enjoy in this country as it is, before these kill joy cunts get their useless little heads involved in stuff that doesn't impact them.
The arena pays for the damage so why would the Council be that bothered?

It there was more Governance they may have looked at the consultation responses rather just a tick box 3 years after the plans are in place.

That arena should never have been put there. The MEN should've been enhanced, at least it has the train stations nearby. MCFC match going fans pushed down the priority list once again.

Agreed. Tbh I still don’t understand why people think we need two 20,000 seat arenas within a mile and a half of each other

Greed at the top of the food chain, it's what this country is built on.

My opinion means nowt, but if they wanted a new arena, it should have gone elsewhere. Any of us know that the existing infrastructure around the Etihad is already shite in terms of parking and public transport.
