I go from Royton as well mate and in total agreement about night matches you miss your connection in oldham you’re screwed

I'm thinking the same, I travel with 2 kids, one is 3 and Briscoe Lane is already a slog carrying 15kg post match. I'm trying new options but the tram is unsafe, it's a miracle there have been no fatalities after the match.

I could be the same, 90 min drive to get to the match, plus what seems will be a walk from Central Park then a tram towards Hollinwood to wherever I've parked.

I'm fit & healthy but the thought of doing that walk when it's pissing down without a brolly as I'm sure that would be deemed more dangerous than a Fanta bottle in SS3 isn't thrilling me.

My dad (in his 70's) has already started to knock it on the head. Had a season ticket for years but he's sold it for tomorrow - something I've never known him to do, ever. Parked up by Ten Acre lane last match but the walk is getting a bit much for him especially in these winter months
I don't live locally any more and I'm not sure what it means for me yet -particularly on night games. The Blue car park is an option but you can be an hour getting off it afterwards - not great when I've got a 90 min - 2 hour drive home. Public transport is of absolutely no use to me.
I just cannot understand the council's thinking on this.

When i went to goodison the other night i went on the justpark app and got on someones drive a 15 min walk to the ground for £12. Secure parking , no mither.
Similarly, at home games we knocked on someones door pre season and asked if we could park up their drive for a tenner a game , just behind the corner shop pub so only a five mine walk

And right there is why City don’t give a fuck and may even be secretly colluding with the council on this. Freeze out the real fans by fair means or foul. Day trippers and tourists generally don’t drive to the ground so what do they care about parking restrictions.

Without them possibly considering it'll have a knock on effect for the stewards who won't want to be giving up £10 to £12 out of the 3 or 4 hours pay they get

It's not Burnham, this is Manchester City Council. Nearest street parking to the east will be in Tameside.
