The end of the agenda debate?

Every team's fans moan that everyone is against them...

I don't care what reporters or (know fuck all) pundits write or say against us.

I watch a game and from what I see I form an opinion... what the media folk say doesn't affect my thoughts.

They can all go and self abuse themselves.

JJ

I think the title of the thread is accurate, their "IS" an agenda against our club. However your attitude is a very healthy one and should be embraced by all blues,, fuck the media!

They have had it all season.
Which is why it’s quite a surprise the pitch side camera didn’t work at Schalke.
Pure, ahem, "coincidence".
No it's not.
More bad luck for us that it wasn't working, compounded by inadvertently ignoring their own rules by not going with the original decision of corner.

Honestly, some people are making a molehill out of a montain.

Oh, hang on............................

On sky, did city get lucky ha ha yes lucky to have 70% possession lucky to have the best team in the league lucky to score most goals could go on all night, and of agenda no chance.

In work today Liverpool fan talking about the pro bias city enjoy, favourable decisions, refs on our books, bribes from the top...he was foaming at the mouth. He was deadly serious. Just goes to show how focusing on things that go in/against favour can make you think in a certain way.

Totally different incidents. Sterling was already offside by moving towards and attempting to play the ball before the defender kicks it.

You’re not surely saying that Sterling’s goal was rightly awarded are you?

Where in the offside rules I posted on here, does it say that ?

It does say that a player moving toward the ball in an offside position, if fouled, can have a penalty.

  • A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball (except from a deliberate save by any opponent) is not considered to have gained an advantage.
  • a player in an offisde position is moving towards the ball with the intention of playing the ball and is fouled before playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the foul is penalised as it has occurred before the offside offence.
There it is in black & white; moving toward the ball is not offside.

It is all about what constitutes a challenge, or whether an opponent is impeded.

What Sterling did, would not be rated as 'a challenge' to any of us, if he was defending at the other end. We would all be telling him to get in & make one & blaming him for not making one, if it ended up in a goal against.

The ref, has obviously decided the same, he didn't make a challenge, so therefore he has correctly ruled.

We all know it's offside, but the rules allow it not to be, so it isn't, because the ref decided to interpret the rules in that way, which he is entitled to. Just as the two refs who gave those ridiculous pens are also allowed to.

That's ridiculous.
