I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Martinez was such a good manager, why were Wigan in relegation battles every season? Last season, there was still quite a lot of Moyes coaching in that team and Martinez added a bit of football to them. But all the Moyes work has been coached out of them and they've turned into Wigan Mark II.

They're in serious danger of being drawn into a relegation battle, just like Martinez's old club.

Wigan had no money, just staying in the league was an achievement

Did Martinez really play Baines as a number 10?

He's been poor most of the year IMO. I think Luke garbutt the young lb should be playing and has the potential to be better

Why not rest Baines or play him out wide with Naismith as the number 10 or even Lahmify him, imagine the stick Manuel would get if he left Silva on the bench and played Kolarov behind the striker.

Everton can't afford to sack him, he has contract till 2019. Would have to pay massive compensation. So I doubt he is under serious pressure yet.

no way would or should he be sacked, we are not a sacking club, and if we did we could wave goodbye to at least 10 transfer windows! very poor at moment, but the problem still exists that did when moyes was manager-who to replace him? needs to find a formation that suits the team and not his own preferred style. paid good money for lukaku but the team does not play to his strengths, he is useless with his back to goal, and barkley out on the wing or centre mid is a waste in my eyes.no one is leading the team and pulling them together, jagielka is a decent bloke but not captain material. i think most fans want to see martinez do well, but at the moment its just a bit stale and frustrating, no steel and no fight in the team and thats sickening

I predicted they would struggle this year.
In Moyes' early days, they tended to have a good season followed by a poor one. The Europa League is also taking its toll on them. I think Barkley will sign for us next summer. I wonder if they might consider selling us Coleman?

you can bet your mo0ney that when we will visit them on 10th january they will play like their life count on it...

Good to see Coleman get a wack the dirty twat. Despite Everton's poor form they will beat us some how.

.

Not sure about that.

He did have some good players at Wigan. In my opinion, at no point did they have one of the worst three squads in the Prem. They did not have one of the best either.

What's Martinez' obsession with Eto'o?

Lukaku and Barkley as number 9 and 10 were a great combination last season.

It doesn't matter how poor they are at the moment, they will still put in their performance of the season in against us and get a win which will inevitably get them back on track.
