First touch is poor back to goal is bobbins but ball in front and a goals scorer he top notch

We spent 27m on Dzeko.

Fair point but Dzeko hold up play is better and he was a top player and proven winning trophies with his previous team

I think they are similar.

And I am glad that Dzeko is staying with us.

I never thought Spurs would break the 20m for another few years but they did last season. I never expected Everton to spend near 20m for another 5 seasons but they have just smashed the record.

Great striker, hopefully he does well there, but not against Spurs!

Good player but 28m you have been taken to the cleaners.couldn't have happened to a nicer club.laffing mi tits off.

Disagree with that. He's only 21. Considering his goal tally and the fact that he's already spent a year with us (so Martinez knows his strengths and weaknesses) I'd say £28m is fair. I would have liked us to have paid less but I'm not complaining at all when you see Lallana going for £25m.

agree with you, worth the money in todays market. my beef is that when we pay big money we get lynched. any other club get a pat on the back for being "ambitious".

I think it's an amazing deal.

£28 million for arguably the best young striker in Europe, who knows their system, knows the league and will only improve.

Lukaku has scored 15+ goals the last 2 season in the Premiership - aged 19 and 20.

He's only going to improve and, i think, will become world class. He could genuinely go on to be Everton's best striker in over 25 years.

If Everton can hold onto Barkley and Lukaku until they reach their prime.. wow!

Good point, are there any more incoming's? do you think the la with the cleanest shoes in Premiership football will play 3 at the back more often?

no disrespect to everton or maybe it is, if he is that good why are chelsea letting him go and why weren't the best clubs in europe queing up to buy him

28 mil is a better deal in my eyes for chelsea than it is for everton
