Lol, do you know i had a story typed out but i read it and thought to myself, that sounds very anal due to the namedropping, so i scrubbed it. The story ain't the same without the names being involved. Think i've told it you though as the punchline was about Richie Edwards?

You're not going to tell me he was in there one day as well are you? "Hey aren't you..." "Ssssshhhh boyo, I'm supposed to be brown bread."

To cut a long story short some of the others were but he wasn't,surprisingly, and i got asked by a lad i know 'isn't that whatshisname from the manics' to which i replied, yep, process of elimination, so i'll get you started first and it ain't Richie Edwards!!!

In one...but we weren't playing Forest, he'd come with a mate as i think they were gigging up here at the time. Strange man, drinks halves and is still the only person i know who buys packets of 10 fags. Marlboro lights if you're interested...:-)

It was Town, The Clarence and The Sherwood most of the time for me. Only went in the Gardeners twice ever. Gutted now.

And when we finished in the Gardeners it was time for a pub crawl down wilmslow/oxford rd into town. Ending up, who knows where and who knows when.

Well first off there was the stop for a curry. Usually Sangams.

Then down to the Lass o' Gowrie... finishing off in the toilet bar next to what used to be Rotter's.

I had a mate who was in a punk band, and he loved going there. Me? My memories off that place was from many years earlier and those bogs were a very dangerous place to go for a piss at 2am! So I never felt comfortable in the place!

Ah, in those days I could drink... now it's all frothy latte's!!!

Went in there the other Sunday and Guy Garvey was at the bar on his own absolutely fucking leathered. Top bloke though. Phoned our mate in Glasgow who's seriously ill and left him a voicemail wishing him well. Really top fella.
