The rational viewpoint here is, what he did was wrong because at the end of the day he broke the rules. Now the fact that it was a joyous and excited fan who was embraced by Haaland himself, does make the situation better. However, clubs dont want to set a precedent where its ok to go on the pitch and jump on players under the justification of doing it out of pure love and passion. Personally, I think Haaland himself might ask the club not to punish him.

I hope not, that would set another precedent and open the floodgates ….
Stay in the stands and celebrate with your mates or complete strangers but stay off the pitch …. !

I think this decision will be one for the courts as he was almost certainly arrested rather than just ejected, he's likely to be banned from all football grounds for a period of time.
