Football's changed, the people who attend have changed and hence the atmosphere has changed so those of us who were there on occasions when the stadium was absolute bedlam (not since the rags and QPR in 2012 for me ) might at times feel slightly underwhelmed by modern day atmospheres but it doesn't mean it's not as good it's just different.

The display tonight at the start was wonderful. Any occasional fans or first time visitors tonight couldn't have helped but been enraptured by such a scene.

maybe it dint come across on tv but in the top tier of the south stand it was the best atmosphere since the 1st game against chelsea...ok maybe last 30 tailed off but ovverall for better

The guy criticising the atmosphere is a Chelsea fan? Ask him how it was when they only sold 37,000 for a knock out game against PSG.

I watched the game on Bein sport everything looked and sounded great ,until after the game when Shearer JUST SAID city WERE POOR .never mentioned the fact that even though it was our first time in the semis ,we played brilliantly and are one goal away from the final ,

I think we played a bit better than when he managed Newcastle.

Which bit of the ground were you in that had a poor atmosphere? It was OK at the north end of CB2 and it's usually dead in there.
