if we want to play 2 uptop, with everyone fit, Strongly believe it is this (3-4-1-2)

---------------------------Hart
---------Kompany--Dimechelis--Nastasic (Lescott for certain games)

-Richards-------Toure---Fernandinho------Kolarov
-------------------------Silva----------------------
------------------Aguero----Negredo-----------

Liverpool are using this system pretty effectively at the moment, Rodgers has correctly identified it uses his squad's best resources

Are we player sharing then?

-- Sun Oct 06, 2013 1:07 pm --

Its now been proved that 4-2-3-1 suits us and our players. However, I'd still like to see Yaya playing as one of the three as opposed to holding - that should be......................DAVID LUIZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with the 4-2-2-2 for me:

-------------------------Hart----------------------
Zab/Micah--Komps--Nastasic--Clichy/Kolarov
--------------------Ferd---Yaya-----------------
------Silva----------------------------Nasri--------
--------------Aguero--Negredo-------------------

Longer term, and as excellent as Negredo has been, I think Jovetic will establish himself, and play off Aguero (more 4-2-3-1). Ideally, of course, we'd then be able to switch pretty fluently between 4-2-2-2, 4-2-3-1, even 4-3-3 (Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri in midfield, Silva, Aguero, Jovetic up top). Aguero could be used wide left (esp. in a 4-3-3), wouldn't be keen on seeing him there in a 4-2-3-1.

So many attacking options; just need to get the defending/pressing honed and I honestly think we'll be excellent. Only question is how long that may take.

I'd go with this, with the exception of Lescott. He is utter dog muck!

Still a quality defender and showed it yesterday.

He's never been better than average apart from a couple of months during our title winning season. Would he get in any other top sides back four? For me he wouldn't! Nastasic is better already at this age.

4-3-3 is what we should be playing. Not only so we don't get outnumbered in the midfield which has been leaving us caught out on the break all season(Hull, Cardiff etc.. not just Munich). But also I thought the youth team was supposed to be playing the same system the 1st team is so they will be better acclimated to the promotion because they will understand the tactics better. Viera is playing 4-3-3 and I keep hearing pundits and players speaking about how the youth and first teams are playing the same system so the young players are prepared for the move to the first team. But we aren't playing the same system at all.

Hart
Zaba
Komps
Nasty
Clichy
Fernandinho
Yaya
Milner
Navas
Silva
Aguero
For european, strong 4-3-3 with milner in the midfield.

Aleks
Yaya
Fernandinho
Navas
Silva
Aguero
Negredo
For league games, 4-2-3-1.
