City are building one hell of a young squad when you look at the ages of the players we have. Doku 23, Bobb 22, Nico G 23, NOR 20, Reis 19, Cherki 22, Foden 25, Donnaruma 26, Haaland 25, Savinho 21, Gvardiol 23, Lewis 20, Echeverri 19, Ait-Nouri 24, Marmoush 26, Khusanov 21. And there are some very talented youngsters in the academy and out on loan.

The future is looking very bright indeed.

Just said this in another thread:

I always say players don’t even reach their prime until they hit 26. The combination of having built experience, quality, consistency, fitness, strength all coming together for about four years from then on.

Many of our lads are a few years away from that yet. Even by then Haaland, Foden, Donnarumma, will still only be 28/29 and still in their prime.

The only thing in the short-term, is that inconsistency is still a facet of players’ games until they reach their prime. So there could still be performances like Villa or Brighton in there from time-to-time, but you can see a lot of these lads growing and improving already, and long-term the future is bright.

Out of that list we don't know what will happen with Reis and Echeverri. and frankly Bobb, Savinho and Lewis just do not look good enough.
