Can the Tories win an overall majority?

No. Amid all the uncertainties surrounding this election, there is one safe bet – that the Conservatives will not gain a majority, i.e. win 326 seats. They didn’t manage it last time and that was before the rise of Ukip. Recent opinion polls suggest they will be lucky to win 260 seats......

At the moment, Cameron’s chances don’t look good. Lord Ashcroft’s latest polling in marginal seats suggests Labour are on course to be the biggest party.

I'll be voting conservative. I don't like the cuts but there is simply no other option. yes there is, a better fairer form of taxation where the NHS and other public services are properly funded and tax loopholes are closed and companies that are unwilling to contribute back into society are barred from bidding for Government contracts (think G4S, Capitas, Serco, ATOS etc)

For those thinking of UKIP, all your vote will do is ensure a racist lunatic ends up in bed with a socialist lunatic in Labour.
when was the last time we had a Socialist Labour Party?
Vote Green

Green leader Natalie Bennett thinks that being on benefits in Britain is worse than the poverty in India because, quote, "at least everyone there is poor too".

I'm coming to the conclusion that at the very least the Tories will hold what they have and possibly get a (very small) outright majority, which I think would be a bad thing overall.
I'm in the same camp. Blair seems to think on similar lines, saying Wallace has taken the party too far to the left, which always results in a Conservative majority, wouldn't stake my life on it though.

The Tories have not won an outright mjority since 92 and they will not win one next year.

They need to be polling in the 40% bracket and they're nowhere near, their tanking in the low 30's. Even if they recover 5% points more in the run up to the election they'll stagger to the point they were in 2010 and they did not have a majority then.

In the marginals that decide elections, they are doing even worse.

They're screwed.

Laugh it up! I suppose laughter fills a vacuum, when you've bugger all to say.
