At least Balls lost his job, c**t of the highest order.
That news did give me a chuckle I must admit. Thought he was too important to be a constituency MP by all accounts. But a surprisingly gracious, powerful and emotional speech after the result showed him in a different light to the one I had always seen him in.

Shame about our ex MP Mark Hunter who was beaten last night, decent guy and a season ticket holder at City. I had a lot of time for him.

I think having the local MP matching the government has it's benefits

Farage, Galloway, Clegg and Balls will be getting stuck into some bushtucker trials later this year.

Given some of the shit we've let you get away with that's somewhat ironic.

I still stand by my comment that you hold the record for the most incredible post in Bluemoon History.

I still think about it every week and I was sat by a pool with my mouth literally wide open in amazement!! Its all good fun. I don't remember calling anyone a fuckwit or selfish c**t!!??
The point was (and you're certainly not the only one who's been guilty) that some people have seemingly taken great delight in showing a nasty attitude in this thread, even if that hasn't directly involved abuse. And that probably includes mods as well.

We accept it's an emotive subject that people have strong views on and, like a good referee allows the game to flow when he could strictly blow the whistle every ten seconds, sometimes we let things go that might attract sanctions in other contexts.

Now everything is done and dusted I would urge everyone to calm down and respect the CoC.

I think its been referred quite well and I like the analogy.

Damocles has been like Clattenburg, Ducado like Howard Webb, Damocles like David Ellery, me as Joey Barton, Rascal as Vinny Jones and SWP as Andy Morrison and Chabal as Buster Phillips.

Morning punters.
First of all congratulations to the Tories. Ruthless winners.
I think Labour got done over twice by the SNP, in Scotland (obviously) and in England where voters didn't want the SNP influencing the government in any way.
I still think Labour should have got at least around 270 seats and it's a desperately disappointing night for them.
Oh well back to supporting the real blues. I just hope they can be as ruthless at winning as the political blues.
PS I won't be taking any further notice of opinion polls in the future.
Great post, very magmanamus in defeat, chin up Blue

no-one's lived up to my refereeing standards ;)

Again I will repeat it's virtually unheard of for an incumbent government to be booted out in the first election the reality is that whilst I disagree with some Tory policy they had not reached the point that Brown and Major reached, they are still unpopular in the North of the country and this should be a wake up call to them,
Wake up call? Seeing as the 'closest election in history' has resulted in a Conservative majority, I think it's Labour who need to wake up.
They failed because Ed moved them, or tried to, to the left, to appease the likes of Mcluskey of the unions. Blair realised years ago that this was not the type of politics England favoured, so his new Labour managed to win three on the trot, and even now, some Labour supporters fail to grasp this, still believing a leftist government is what the people want. They never have, and, hopefully, never will.

BBC website confidently predicting that with 15 seats to declare there will 651 MPs in this parliament. At least that is what there figures for each party add up to

What's going to happen to the the giant stone monolith?

Rumour is that he is resigning at noon
Wish he would hurry up, I'v got to visit Sully a lifelong Blue who has had a stroke and is in Wigan Infirmary, I want to see Milibands face before I go

labour have done terrible and the lib deems have been destroyed. I think the uk is moving to the right ( apart from scotland) and nationalism swell. I think based on the high ukip vote people dont want high immigration, a lot of northern cities and towns swell. If londons population was mainly british I dont think labour would have won there either.

people all of the country dont trust labour
