its not gloating its relief. Can you have imagined Milliband going to meet Obama at the white house? He would probably have fallen over walking up the steps. the whole world would have been laughing at us.

I'm sure you're relieved, I am too when my team wins. But I see a hell of lot of gloating on here too, and a lot of frankly strange Cameron god-love stuff.

You may call it gloating - I see it as a vital day for this country. Elated, relived, proud maybe the words. Cameron is a great leader so why is it strange to be proud of him?
Now there's the problem I have with Cameron. I don't see any signs of leadership at all let alone great leadership.

I've no Idea what he stands for or what drives him as all I ever hear are woolly platitudes and clichés.

His slip of the tongue was revealing. Politics is his career, not his passion.

No signs of leadership? He is a great figurehead for this country. A well balanced family man, skilled politician. they all talk in riddles, but look at what he has achieved in 5 years. I will ask you this who would you prefer to have been shaking Obamas hand or defending us against a terrorist threat on our shores. Milliband, Cameron, Farrage or Clegg - only one winner there.

I bet the accusation of career politician could be levelled at about 75% of all MP's including Labour's

Of course it's gloating! About 40 pages worth probably. It's all fun and games anyway. There is nothing wrong with being proud of someone. Let's just see what his party cuts.

The misplaced joy and pride here is nothing short of hilarious. Why don't people appreciate the histoy of wafer thin majority governments? They always end in disarray and disaster. Look at the list pf past victims in my previous post to get an idea of the sluggy one's likely fate. It will not end well....

... and stop being giddy.

I agree with this but then I'm used to a very different kind of leader. Not everyone responds the same way and different styles of leadership appeal to different folk. The key for a party is get one that appeals to the many not the few.

Nothing wrong with being posh or pretty. Going to google Vapid. If I was that way inclined Cameron would be a good catch. Your not being homophobic are you?

Whatever you or any of us think of him, he has got himself a second term as PM, a feat that very few people achieve.

Mere details! Those who backed the winner are in gloat mode. Once their pulses have gone back to normal everything will calm down. :)

and ... why wouldn't people who wanted the conservatives in government gloat. Labour voters would do the exact same, what do you expect ?

No one should gloat in victory, IMO, in football or politics because your next defeat may never be too far away (OK, it could be five years but...).

Vapid - offers nothing that is stimulating or challenging. Bland.

Doesn't even know which team he thinks he supports FFS.

Obviously we all know the LWNJ wouldn't have done any of that. They are above that sort of thing.
