Mr Cameron has just said that the Conservatives will not raise VAT.

Now what are you all going to moan about?

Didn't he say that once before Ronnie?

Let's hope he means it this time. Either way, just saying he will when he says he won't is a bit counter productive. Ed will have to find something else to pop at

Yes, it would be nice for the PM not to tell whoppers.

The sad truth is that they are all professional liars and we just try to pick the one who either lies the least or has palatable ones

I agree with you but I always find it harder to stomach when coming from an actual PM and I include PMs of every party in that.

Surely you're not questioning Dave's integrity?
Alright he went back on his promise in 2010, but gosh when he got into power and saw the books they turned out to be much worse than he thought. so he had no option but to raise VAT.
And ok since then he's raised the national debt from 0.76 trillion (when Labour left power) to 1.6 trillion now ( with consequential increase in interest payments) and promised some unfunded tax cuts in the future , but I trust him to find the extra money from somewhere don't you?
No ifs, no buts.

Dead right. I put politicians in the same category as burglars.

I'm thinking of voting Tory at the GE, first time ever at a GE, as an anti-SNP vote. I know it's an utter waste of time 'cos the incumbent Labour MP should stroll it, despite his wife Karen flaunting herself all over social media etc. I was just wondering whether or not said casting of vote would qualify me to join the RWNJs. I'm already an FOC but I'd really like to add RWNJ to my list of qualifications.

FOC as in 'First time Old Conservative voter' or 'Fairly Old City fan' ?
By the way don't be conned by the SNP. They want a Tory Govt. in Westminster and a majority SNP in Scotland. Suits their nationalist aspirations better.

Did I hear Cam say "straight answers deserve straight questions" in today's debate in Parliament ?
Got that one the wrong way round Dave.
Almost as bad as his "maso-sadism" faux pas back in December.
I thought he was supposed to have had a good PM's question time.

In fairness fella even the envy crew would have to admit that if milliband asks cameron a straight question with a yes or no answer and then cameron answers it the worst thing he can then is not answer one himself, he looked rather foolish

was it just a coincidence that he wouldn't say yes or no if they would raise NI, then ed balls gives an interview afterwards saying they won't to try and save face, don't let your bias overspill too much

Cracking PMQs with Silliband blown out of the water!

Cameron wrong footed Miliband over a VAT rise and ends up being a mauling of Miliband over income tax increase and increase in NI contributions which Miliband didn't rule out.

There's Labour for you, punish those in work!
PMQs is every Wednesday at twelve.
And every Wednesday at one o'clock you say the same thing.

And...?

What's up? Didn't like the performance?

Its just that - A PERFORMANCE - from both the fuckers !!!

The best part is when one of the cock sucking MP's gets up and asks a question which is basically a pr move for the PM to say how well they are doing, shouldn't be allowed, the speaker should also have the power to make them answer the question, Dimbleby is the same on question time

No bias here mate.
No plans to raise VAT ( Cameron pre General Election 2010).
No ifs, No buts.

Tories always raise VAT as its regressive taxation at its worst and disproportionatly disadvantages the poor.

They will raise it to give their mates in the City a tax cut. The Tory campaign comes with a price tag after all.

Cameron is a lying c**t.

And just like Labour will raise NI and Income Tax...

As Labour rightly should whilst restricting VAT to purely luxury goods.

The British government can't reduce the number of things that VAT is charged on; the unelected EU commission won't allow democratically elected politicians from individual countries to make such decisions.

Of course, if the UK were to leave the EU then we could take back the power to set our own tax policy. Labour wants the UK to be in the EU. Labour wants the British people to pay VAT on day to day necessities like electricity and clothes. If they form the government after the next election, Labour will act to ensure that the British people have no say in the scope of VAT.

'Take back the power'....Power to the people!

Where would that power rest btw? With 'the people'?

Of course it will. That's the default position of this nation.

I'm quite sure that, were we to leave the EU, we would have a system where we elected our lawmakers which would be an improvement on the European regime that we currently live under.

Well today definitely wasn't PMQs. I really don't see the point of them when the Prime Minister is asking numerous fucking questions as a response

Miliband - Did you break your promise on immigration?
Cameron - Are you raising NI?
Miliband - You said there wouldn't be a top down restructure in the NHS. Did you break your promise?
Cameron - Are you raising NI?

Great stuff

And these elected lawmakers: they'd be making laws in the best interests of the people, rather than their own careers, right?

Im reeling in shock here...on BM im reeling in shock that a RWNJ has actually come up with one rational idea why we should leave the EU. Well done Sir.

You should try this more often as usually its your fellow RWNJs banging on about immigration 24/7

Please remember though that its the Tories that allways raise the UK VAT rate...Cheers
