Their arrogance is staggering.

I know you may find this hard to grasp, but the forthcoming election is not for an English parliament, its for a UK parliament and if the Scots who are as much a part of the UK vote SNP they are entitled to there view being heard in the UK parliament.

Its called democracy.


And if you actually listened to Blairs speech, he did not infer that anybody was too stupid to vote on the EU, he said a vote on the EU would be stupid. Its a subtle difference but a crucial one.

This Election, when UKIP are likely split the Conservative vote, is Millibands only chance of power he will make a pact with the devil if he thinks in will put him into No.10.

If the SNP carry any weight after the next Election England will be dry bummed and Milliband being a non-entity will let it happen No matter what happens at this Election it is the only one Milliband will get as a Party leader so he is bound to make the most of it. being PM even for one day in a minority Government sets him up for life. He will not turn that down.
He will probably come out with some bollocks like for the good of the Nation and it is better to enter into a pact with the SNP than try to run the country will a minority Labour Government.

Before the Flid comments and starts asking for proof I will add the Caveat IMHO of course!

Milliband's only chance, not Labour's. Labour would be better off categorically ruling out any arrangement with the SNP, changing their leader, letting the Tories try to run the country as a minority government and focus on winning the November election.

I read it this morning and I don't have it in front of me now, but I think what he actually said was something about the GBP are too ill informed to be making a decision on something so important.

So he didn't say we are plain stupid, just either ignorant of what he considers the facts and implications or too stupid to consider them properly.

I find the Tories corrupt, Labour confused, liberals constipated and UKIP creepy. the greens are condescending. I find it strange that anyone can be strongly committed to the current political parties. Most people I know are voting for the least worst party, not the best. This means that the Conservatives may well get a late surge in the polls as people settle for what they know. There needs to be only a slight fall in the Tory vote since 2010 and a slight rise in Labours vote for the SNP to hold the balance of power. Seems the likely outcome at this point. In it self that shows how bad EM has been. He should be walking into number 10 with the hand he has been dealt over the last 5 years. I will vote, I live in a safe seat but believe the proportion of votes won nationally will be an important moral battleground beyond the next election.

If thats how you understand it, then perhaps subliminally you are agreeing. A simple straw pole of posters on here would suggest that what you understand he said is probably very accurate in most cases.

Blair has certainly given many people the impression that he's called them stupid and that is surely a gaffe for a politician in the run up to an election.

Five Labour MPs were sent to jail for stealing public money in the expenses scandal.

Another was spared trial because she has depression and was unfit to plead.

No Tory MPs were jailed.

When it comes to corruption Labour lead the pack.

We can all theorise.

But we know for certain that Labour are corrupt because they had five MPs sent to jail for stealing our money.

That's not a reason to vote Tory, but it certainly is a reason not to vote Labour.

If you're interested Labour are not abolishing the WHOLE rule, they are modifying them by something known as the temporary residents allowance, but I guess you're not interested in the facts.

Labour could probably make a case for the mansion tax, the increased top rate of tax, abolishing nom dom status etc on the grounds of fairness. Its when they start thinking that these measures will raise money that it becomes scary.
