oh right didn't see that. I thought he was telling everyone to not vote though ?

He was, but after meeting Ed he has changed his mind

so pretty much a whole year of saying dont vote, lets have a revolution..... he's changed his mind because of one interview. Ive watched that miliband barley answers any of his questions. How can anyone base there vote on what russel brand says.

Young people seem to hang on to celebrities every word these days,i don't get it myself but then i am in my 50's

My Mrs was undecided. In our constituency it's either Conservative or Labour.

Russel Brand has convinced her to vote Tory :-)

well I'm a young person ( 21 ) i just dont get it. I dont understand why people can't make their own minds up. If i did support him I'm not sure what i would think with how he's changed his mind so fast

Anyone who votes for a Party because a "celebrity" tells them to should be banned from voting for life.

Say you have no interest in politics. You can't be bothered to keep up with policies/personalities/permutations.. But you like a person who is in the limelight, and you learn how they are going to vote..

Is it better to not vote at all or follow the suit of the person who holds your admiration?

Genuinely not sure what would be best, with the pressure "the ability" to vote/democracy carries.

I admire you , so I'll vote for the Party you endorse , interesting thought.

I've changed my opinion on this , anyone who does the above should be shot.

Capricious.

Well ok then.

My meaning was.. people trust people. Not everyone is Hawking (or whoever), they have busy working lives and politics is nothing to a lot of people. If however during their hectic lives they find an affinity to somebody in/on the news/tv who lets it be known who they are voting for, then perhaps, they can exercise their right to vote on that basis. I mean we all get influenced in different ways.

I do think you can be intelligent or unintelligent and not be interested in politics.

Errrr? I think she was probably lost to Labour a long time before that.

Stay classy SNP supporters, I see Nicola Sturgeon's band of merry thugs have driven Labour MPs and backers out of Scotland. Democracy at it's best...

Steve Coogan is the only 'celebrity' I'm disappointed with, all the other labour supporters are vermin.

Celebs must influence some or the parties wouldn't bother with them surely

And yes, I am serious

The good Prof isn't a 'celebrity', he's one of the greatest minds we've ever seen and its offencive to say anything different!

and Multi millionaire so he has a lot in common with Red Ed so he is going with the party that acts in his best interests

PS Has anyone checked if his voice synthesizer has been hacked by rascal?

So if the poor are voting for Labour because it's in their best interests, and now the rich are voting for Labour because it's in their best interests then doesn't this mean that Labour are in the best interests of most of the country?

That's compelling. You hear that Lucky13? :)

I was undecided but Hawking is brilliant and has more integrity than me. I am not a sheep, and can make up my own tiny mind, but if Steve likes Labour, then I will consider that choice more than I did before.

That's how it can work.
