You can hear the guitars on these tracks by my old band... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.myspace.com/theblacktokens" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.myspace.com/theblacktokens</a>

And you can hear the guitars and keyboards by my current "project"... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.myspace.com/soundsofsmokeandmirrors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.myspace.com/soundsofsmokeandmirrors</a>

yes, its by far the best acoustic Ive ever owned and Ive had some qaulity one's

I want to record with it but it has no pickup and Im loathe to have someone fit one as it may 'spoil' it somehow

why dont you use a sensitive mic? then you wont need a pickup to record, I assume you use DI's to record

Right lads.

Started playing 6 years ago (divorce and mid-life crisis !) and haven't really improved.

Can knock out a creditable Atlantic City and Mr.Jones etc but barre chords are just impossible and I get fed up and give up.

Any tips?

6 years with no improvement maybe you should buy a drum kit ?

how much do you practise ?

Id say an hour a day should show definate signs of improvement, I used to prectise scales whilst watching telly (and barre chords)

try using a capo for practicing barre chords, especially if you are using an acoustic. can be a little easier if the action is quite high on your guitar.
i have a battered old Yamaha fg160 by the way.
