The Harry and Meghan fuss

But that’s not the whole transcript is it? You’ve cut out the bit where she says it was just an exchange of personal vows in front of the Archbishop.

so we are left with a choice.

Either we believe your version of events where Meghan Markle, for no reason whatsoever, randomly claims to have gotten legally married 3 days before their wedding.

OR she casually referred to exchanging personal vows in a ceremony administered by the Archbishop of Canterbury as “getting married” and didn’t think fucking weirdos would start looking up the legal definitions of “wedding” and “getting married” to try and claim she’s lying?

You keep pretending you’re looking at both sides of the story and aren’t lapping up right wing bullshit but your posts betray you. All of your talking points are straight out of the tabloids, there’s no variance or deviation from that line which would imply you’ve arrived at a similar conclusion from looking at both sides independently.
The next bit of the transcript.

Oprah: Ah!

Meghan: No one knows that. But we called the Archbishop, and we just said, ‘Look, this thing, this spectacle is for the world, but we want our union between us’. So, like, the vows that we have framed in our room are just the two of us in our backyard with the Archbishop of Canterbury, and that was the piece that . . .

Harry: Just the three of us.

Oprah: Really?

Harry: Just the three of us.

Meghan: Just the three of us.

She stated that they got married 3 days before the National ceremony and they wanted their Union to be just between them. The Union only happens at the marriage.
Maybe it was her wrong choice of words, but it reads that way to me. It is not right wing bullshit, it’s my interpretation of the transcript.

I love how your can read into what my sources are without knowing me in any way.
I do make up my own mind, and I don’t trust everything the media or H&M say.

We are clearly not going to agree on this one so I will park it there.

It’s not just tabloids though is it? The population has access to her own media, podcasts, book and now Netflix series to base and form an opinion on.

It’s disingenuous but convenient to then blame a negative opinion of her and him for that matter solely on a section of the media you might not like.

They seek the limelight and financial reward that comes with it. They can accept the good and bad media attention and opinions of folk that comes with it as well.
Nailed on blueinsa the voice of common sense and reason on this thread , they are managing project Megan and milking it for all its worth until its no more and if you don't approve of their conduct don't bother with them and waste your time and money on the project if you can call it that. Eventually you can tune into At home with the Markles on Fox Nation.

It only reads that way to you because you're absolutely desperate for it to.

FFS "The Union only happens at the marriage." is something you've entirely made up.

You are clearly a bigot mate, and it’s obvious that you’re just a stooge of the right wing media.

Very obvious in fact, and like anyone else who disagrees with the majority view on here - myself included - you simply have no capability for independent thought, hence the parroting of the right wing hate.

I mean, what else do you expect anyone to think when you;

a) Have the temerity to question anything Meghan Markle has to say. Granted, we’ll just gloss over the fact that she misled the High Court and was forced to change her evidence, and the less said about the weird Lion King/Nelson Mandela stuff the better. But once you question her version of the truth, then you’ve revealed your true intentions, frankly. A dead giveaway and so, so obvious.

b) You accurately quote Markle’s own words. Again, a big no no, and another giveaway.

c) You also quote chancers like Mishal Husain at the BBC and the Archbishop of Canterbury. Both well known right wing nut jobs, and they’ve also shown their own hateful agenda by questioning Markle’s truth.

See how obvious it all is now?

Her own family question her ability to tell anything factual and that is good enough for me.

Rather than make this about which posters are right wing and left wing and call them bigots because they have a different opinion to the " moral high ground " how about we all agree they are a poor version in the latest set of the reality TV stars milking the project for all its worth and good on them for playing the players even though they will fade into the limelight pretty quickly if playing victimhood is their only MO.

Personally I liked her better in Suits and wearing mini shirts in Deal or No Deal and she has become big bore since she became Wild About Harry.

I am reminded of the expression glass houses and stones that is the only thing that is pretty obvious.

Lol, one of the most pathetic posts in the entire thread.

Oh and as we’ve already covered, Archbishop didn’t question Markle’s truth at all.

To carry on claiming he did is quite dishonest isn’t it?

But then again you were in this thread lying about Ngosi Fulani a week ago…

I guess you’re just a big fan of the royal family.

You’re optimistic if you think you’ll find a point that everyone is going to agree on

I'm confused about this private wedding bit. If it was only her, him and the AB of C, then who were the witnesses?

That was my thought too.

The fact that the Archbishop made such a clear statement means it will be the legal standing.

No-one has argued that a private exchange of vows happened a few days before, and the couple are quite entitled to view it as a wedding, just not a legal one.

A classic, vintage post from yourself, I must say.

All the hallmarks of your usual guff are here; calling people liars, the shouty style, the patronising, condescending tone and the faux intellectual nonsense. It’s all here, as predictable as it is tedious, although I must admit I am starting to find it strangely amusing.

Anyway, I could go on, but I won’t and there’s not much to discuss, truth be told. Misleading the High Court. The Lion King episode, which I’ve posted for you below as I know your memory is a bit hazy. All perfectly normal behaviour of course - I mean who doesn’t invent stories so as to compare themselves to Nelson Mandela - and it’s just a shame that the bloke she referenced didn’t actually exist. But then again I’m sure there’s a perfectly honest explanation for it all.

“He looked at me, and he’s just like light,” Meghan recalled. “‘I just need you to know: When you married into [the royal family], we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison’.”

Good night to you.
