The Harry and Meghan fuss

Pathetic the pair of them.

I think the Queen has come out of this quite well, no allegations directly against her and if anything there was genuine warmth and affection. While she is the head of state there is a whole organisation below he and I think it is quite clear that Megan and Harry are pointing fingers elsewhere specifically Charles and William.
Problem is that Liz is head of the firm, and it's the institution that's under attack as well as the individuals in it.
If as you state fingers are being pointed at Charles then that's also a problem because as things stand he will become the next monarch Chaz III.

Nothing learnt from diana on mental health

I think the bottom line is that, although there is now (rightfully) greater public pressure to accept and understand people's mental health issues, the main component of that understanding is knowing that you can't ever fully understand. Even two people who suffer from depression will have drastically different experiences and coping mechanisms with varying degrees of efficacy.

What we have now is a whole load of people saying that they understand because it's the right thing to say but they simply don't and never will and, as sad as that is, I can't really blame anyone for it.

What I do begrudge, however, is people espousing acceptance of one person and then immediately turning around and offering no sympathy to another because they don't like them for some trivial reason. At that point, understanding takes a back seat.

Football, sports media and social media provide daily examples of this but it's pretty consistent throughout life. Often, I feel like mental health has just become a topic which provides a platform for public figures to campaign for themselves and the royal family have been a part of that over the last year or two.

Sorry can you please clarify ? Are you trying to justify the coverage those people got or not? Either you do or don't? You cant just use an excuse for the coverage. and they say you don't agree with it? Its not different at all is it? You cant justify it, that's why why stated that at the end of your response. No one deserves that kind of vilification what ever their ethnic background.

I clearly said I disagreed with the coverage but it wasn’t fair of you to compare Megan Markle to them because Megan hadn’t potentially committed any criminal offences.

I get it though. You’re the old white guy who thinks absolutely nothing is racist unless it includes the N word. I get it.

Why keep reading it then? I don't go looking for celeb, royal or celeb royal gossip and never see anything.
People on here NEVER read the Mail if you look at their comments on the football pages. They don't even look at Mail articles linked on this forum for fear on giving a single additional click to the millions they get for the articles on the celebs of the teams in red.

Another is she got married 3 days before the official one. Just the two of them and the Archbishop. You need to marry in public and have witnesses in the uk so I think she’ll find it was just a rehearsal lol
I think you are spot on about the rehearsal and it explains a lot.

For her and harry to say she was suicidal and went to the firm for help and was told there is none because she isnt a payed employee, wtf , she had her first baby under intense scrutiny , i now believe refusing to show the media the baby was something to do with comments on his skin colour and she had post partum depression

It was said that william said to harry , are you sure you want to marry this women and set up the rift , i am guessing it was charles or philip made the skin colour comment as the rift between the three is huge , boys and dad , i have always thought harry would harbour some bad feeling to charles and camilla over the treatment of diana but that is just my feeling

I accept some use mental health as an excuse but not in this case ,i could see it in her eyes

It gets forgotten because how she was suddenly revered after her death but the right wing media and right wingers in general absolutely despised Diana.
Can you imagine how popular she'd be with the right wing press these days if she hadn't died but had instead successfully married the Muslim billionaire? For some reason, I suspect she wouldn't be the peoples princess anymore
