The press and media in general can certainly pick on a person and make their life a misery when they want. Look what they did to poor Caroline Flack, but is that vilification racist or is it just picking on a easy target or a person they want to make out as the bad person as it sells papers? I think its the latter, sadly the media do it with people from all walks of life.

I couldn't agree more, the press has always been like this, ever since the first printing press was invented. They put their own slant on the news, be it political, or commercial reasons, they can hound and harass with the best of them. The problem with Megan Markle is that she inhabited the very parochial world of entertainment, where she and her kind are daily told how wonderful they are, just look at the Oscars to see the antics there. Self congratulatory, mutual adoration taken to the limit, the only thing she had to worry about was someone criticising her pretending job.
When, after the first show of love and admiration from the British public started to cool because of her attitude, it came as a shock, and we are where we are.

And was there a race card when the red tops ferociously picked on the likes of Jade Goody and Caroline Flack? What about the the McCanns? rightly on wrongly the press have gone after them as well. The point is that the coverage isn't pleasant at all, but they don't just reserve the vindictiveness for black or people from an ethnic minority. I think they more likely choose a person who they decide they will portray as a 'baddy' and then perpetuate fake story lines to sell papers.

I reckon in this instance Meghan came in at just the wrong time, following so soon after Kate. There was always going to be comparisons made between the two and she sadly made overtures early on that she didn't want that.

It’s pretty clear she was being smeared as soon as she came into the Royal Family. I recognised a lot of the writing as being similar to how young black footballers were being treated in this country.

Caroline Flack was getting loads of shit was allegedly smashing a lamp over her partners heard and the McCanns for leaving their young children unattended while they got pissed on holiday - please don’t compare. You also mention Jade Goody but she got her stick in the media for literally being racist.

To note that I still disagree with the coverage those individuals got but it is different in this case. With Megan it was about managing perception. It’s Harry himself who has even confirmed issues were raised about the colour of the baby’s skin.

I am British, I don't hate the Royal Family, just don't think we need one.

For Meghan to be asked how dark her babies skin might be is just fucking disgusting. Being more concerned about a babies skin colour than its health makes me feel sick. I couldnt care less if Meghan was a slapper from Stretford nobody deserves to be treated like that. Nobody.

And anyone justifying it is a sick **** as well.
