The Harry Kane Team 2017/18

Can't quite bring myself to congratulate him as quite simply he shouldn't have played the last two matches, even my boss who is an avid spurs fan thinks he's had the English international treatment there just to go for the record. But I'll recognise it's a decent achievement.

But there again Shearer had his issues with elbows. Let's hope he can take his form into the world cup I guess.

Harry Kane's goals in 2017 broken down by who he scored against (all competitions):

1 goal performances: Boro, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man United, Borussia Dortmund, West Brom, Leicester

2 goal performances: Watford, Everton, Everton, Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Huddersfield, Liverpool, Stoke,

Hat-trick or better: West Brom, Fulham, Stoke, Leicester (4), Hull, APOEL, Burnley, Southampton

International: 1 goal vs Scotland, 2 goals vs France, 2 against Malta, 1 goal vs Slovenia, 1 goal vs Lithuania

Not many of those goals against top class opposition. Indeed, some would say none against the best. A fine achievement but not a great one.

Got a feeling he's going to end up at the RAGS in a season or two for a world record fee.

Kane is in superb form and is clearly an excellent player. Everything is focused on getting Kane in a position to score. I’m not sure he’d work as well in our system where players are rotate around more and switch positions. Having said that I think Spurs would go into meltdown if we ever signed him!

They’ll have to reconcile themselves to paying a Levy/History Premium Combo. Probably end up costing them a billion quid.

As to Kane, he strikes me as a bit of a Chauncey Gardiner character, but he seems harmless enough, doesn’t appear to carry any rancour (that tackle apart!) and is likeable, so good luck to him.

For Kane this summer should be where he is looking to move on if he wants to win trophies or is he only interests in scoring goals not winning trophies.

Agree, not sure why some have such a downer on him. I can only assume it's due to him playing for team with a bunch of cocks (literally) as a fanbase.

In the good old bacon face era I would have agreed with you both Kane and Deli Ali would have been taken from the rags usual feeder club but in this modern era where rag pulling power has all but gone i can't see why he'd want to go to them.

Be good to see what banner those two hold up these days .....................................if they still " support" the Rags that is ?
Even though that was taken after we won the league in 2012, they were still so cocksure of their place in the footballing firmament back then. It was all going to last forever.....

For the best striker in England and, in turn, the world ever ever(tm) He sure had a tough time getting the better of Mangala

They've spent £80 million on someone bang average, what the hell kind of fee would it for someone actually half decent? £200 million? A kidney from all 659 million of them?

Make it a liver each and it's a deal.

I think once the bills start arriving for the new ground Levy will do a deal and Kane will be gone . I can see Kane possibly wanting to stay for a season at the new ground, but Levy will need to maximise Kane's selling potential while he is hot so I can see him gone after the world cup and Levy sat back rubbing his hands while singing you gotta pick a pocket or two !
