The "I love dj thread"

Love the guy, only get to watch football on telly due to some ahem various reasons. But I sometimes just study him when he's on screen and listen to match going fans who rave week after week. One of my favourite photos of this new era is that grimace and fist clench.

NDJ really is starting to become the lynch pin of the team.
the difference the team has when is he playing is remarkable.
they used to talk about chelsea having their backbone of lampard, terry, drogba. well i think ours is becoming hart, vinny and NDJ.
3 players first on the team sheet week in, week out.

I like as well the fact that he seems to be genuinely happy here, and "gets" City. Can never see him upsetting the apple cart with an untoward quote to the press. Captain written all over him for me. We're lucky to have him.

One tackle in the first half, to break down a potentially dangerous break in the East Stand side near the Family Stand corner, had me out of my seat applauding him.
Is it just me or has his passing also become more positive and ambitious this season?

Not you at all, he's completely changed as the season has gone on. When a player like that can contribute offensively you really have something special.

Would love to see him finally score for us, but can't see it happening any time soon. Utterly irrelevant of course, as he's that good and that's not his job, but there will be wild celebrations if/when it happens.

They finally scored on a corner today (and it was a header) so anything is possible.

There was a moment today when Micah was struggling against some Villa player. Up Comes NDJ, problem solved.

We wouldn't have lost against Everton if he'd been playing but that match actually highlighted his worth to us. Great player, HAF, bullied Chelski earlier on in the season, and is a credit to the team, the club and himself.

Improved an amazing amount since he joined us. Much better on the ball and his passing is near perfect now.

Along with Kompany & Silva I wouldn't swap them for anyone in the world in their respective positions.

I agree - all of them could walk into any team on the planet.
