The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Not directly but a knock-on effect of leaving probably.

We didn't really care about Northern Ireland as much as some politicians have tried to claim they do since, hence you get silly measures like this.

Cheers for the explanation and at least I an now better informed. I will accept my ignorance to the fact that GB did not include N Ireland, which makes it strange why it was originally done.

Because it sells petrol/diesel only, and you pay for it at the pump via credit/debit cards. As I said earlier, she drove in, put £5 worth of fuel in, and drove back out again. The store does sell items as you have described, but she didn't go into the store car park.
He was having a joke!

Maybe she needs £40 worth, but is worried that one might run out leaving others without fuel, so she goes about putting in £5 at 8 stations on her route to ensure she doesnt take too.much from any one. Like a modern day diesel robin hood.

Panic buying and hoarding should be sanctioned with a fine.
Anyone want to buy 500 toilet rolls? Hardly used. Pm me.

Exactly. She came in after me, left before me, and drove straight out of the store to be on her busy little way.
Moron.
Or maybe she is on a low income and doesn't have much money until she gets paid so put the fiver in to keep her going until pay day because she has been running on fumes for the past few days.

Perhaps she went to fill up but realised she had left her purse at home but, looking in the glove compartment she found a fiver an........ yeh right.
