The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

DPD driver turned up at my works yesterday to deliver us 1 small parcel, inside his van, there was £200's worth of toilets rolls going to 1 house.

I bake my own Gluten free bread, took me 4 days to finally get my hands on a bag of flour and tin of yeast. The shelves around here have been decimated.

Fooking madness.

Haven't been near the shops yet, told them to ready steady cook until the cupboards and fridge are empty(ish).
Grew up on cornflakes for breakfast, egg and chips for dinner and rice pudding/sandwich for tea.( roast on Sunday and Wednesday - think Tuesdays were family allowance payout)
So sad to read previous posts on how the people who are less well off are finding it hard to get basics, baby food shelves empty for fxxk sake.
Any wonder why people with poor health are struggling when you have got fit and healthy people striping the shelves of medicine.
Keep an eye on elderly neighbors probably one we can easily do, just give them your phone number just in case.

Our Asda delivery driver just informed me that Mcain frozen chips have run out in Oldham rather than bog-roll, and that biscuits are in high demand at Ashton. Weird world at the moment.

Sainsbury’s Heaton Park, No Tuna, No Sugar, No Pasta, No uncooked Rice, No Tinned Sardines (My pooch is going to have to short), No Painkillers of any sort, Crisp Isle was taking a battering, they did however amazingly have toilet roll which was being rationed by the security guy, A collective madness has descended upon us. Stay safe and stay sane blues.
