The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Thanks everybody for your very kind offers to help out. We're not house bound by any means and have our own transport so can get to the shops no problem. Its just that when we get there, everythings gone. I'm sure in a couple of days the shelves will start to fill and we'll be able to get some stuff. I think somebody mentioned the small local stores so I think we'll give them a go tomorrow.

Thanks again Blues

Just spoken to the manager of the local hardware / electrical shop they have no freezers left in stock, had people coming fro as as far as a town 50 miles away to buy freezers. Which they will no doubt fill to the brim. Madness.

Think i'll head out to home depot at 6:00am when it opens and see if i can get some shit tickets.
Not been able to get any in 4 or 5 trips to the supermarket.

Couldn't get onto Broadway from the M60 slip road at lunchtime....people sat in cars waiting to sit in queues in cars in Costco car park to wait for spaces.

Yeah Tesco in Burnage looked like some clowns had swept the whole shelves into trolleys. Walked over to Heaton Moor Co op and picked up couple of things I needed no problem. Reckon there's some fuckers hoping to make something out it all. Hopefully they'll be left with a load of shit they can't get rid of

Just back from morrisons bristol,Twats had cleared the place the freezers all empty, and the usual loo rolls bread etc.Alcohol aisle not a can or bottle of lager or cider to be seen. On a plus note these southern softies don't like mushy peas as there was a large stash of them in the empty aisle. We have some really selfish twats stockpiling. I can't see how they could possibly restock the store for tomoz.

Are the smaller supermarkets less bad generally? As I work between a Sainsbury's local and a smallish Morrisons and both seem alright. They run out of pasta and toilet paper, but restock It twice a day, although it only lasts an hour or two it seems, but most of the other stuff remains pretty steady. This is Sheffield though not Manchester, not sure it's been as bad here on a panic buying front.

That being said, my hardware store has had to start limiting purchases as some crazy twats keep trying to buy literally everything that looks like it could clean anything. Some **** wanted to buy all 30 packs of antibacterial wipes we put down today and looked offended when we said he could only have 2.
