The Ignore List

Odd, I don’t recall thinking you were any kind of apologist. Didn’t agree with everything you wrote but not an apologist.

The handful of folk who are agreeing with other are doing so because we were, and are, right, and those disagreeing are wrong. Pretty much the only subject I’ll ever be dogmatic on, expect for my other clearly correct view that Radiohead suck.
Your excused as you have skin in the game ;-) it's the limey mo fo's that got over excited that I'm referring to.

You know what, bud?

Consistently, the naysayers ignore the fact that the policies beforehand is what gave Trump the win and they won't hear it, so they throw insults and call people cunts/ thick/ dumb as shit/ whatever and then throw people on ignore cos they won't bend the knee!

Laughable.
It's the same here I suppose as a decade of tory rule attests to. The problem with populism is it's popular, and popular things get more votes than unpopular ones.

You nailed it earlier.

People don't get ignored because of their politics, they get ignored because of their attitude.
People don’t like being told “I rejected your argument; come up with a better one” when they have worked very hard and/or are emotionally tied to their original argument.

There's a certain poster that's a bit Foggy and lives in San Francisco that fairly emotional about me. I'll tell you why:

About a 18 months to 24 months ago, we had a discussion about kids and how they learn. He was of the notion to tell his kid what to think and I simply said 'isn't it better to lay out the facts on both sides and let them come to a conclusion?' and that he would, probably, come around to his way of thinking with facts involved.

The guy flips out and says I'm trying to tell him how raise his kid. His tirade has been in evidence ever since.

Just before term started, this year, my son and I were in deep discussion about religion. I tod him where I stood, explained about the alternative religions available, mainstream and told him think it all through, including not believing any of it.

His RE teacher spoke to me about how fascinating my son was as he stretched the boundaries, for his age, on what Belief/ Faith meant to him. All kids deserve to make up their own minds on life, given a certain age. My kid was 11, pretty sure his kid was older.

Didn't think I was wrong on saying to be expansive with a child, but hey ho...

I have a few on the ignore list, I come on to bluemoon for Info and discussion regarding City, not to constantly get angry with trolls, but my biggest pet peeve, on here and in life in general is arrogance. Therefore it goes without saying a very prolific poster is on ignore, and also a relatively new poster on the transfer forum who calls himself a journalist. Both incredibly arrogant and condescending.

Myself and Greggery Peccary like this thread

Of course you do.

A lot of the anger in here is generated by those who thrash about trying to bridge the gap between what they think should happen and what actually happens, what they want and what they have.

You'll be familiar with it.

The great Merseyside mosh pit of woulda, coulda, shoulda.

There are times when I wish I could put certain posters on my ignore list, but not really an option as admin. Do think some who continually complain about/report other users should utilise it more though. Would make life easier all round.
Are you saying my 65 reports in one day about the Swiss Cheeses fellah were to much !!!! Hell I reigned it in as well
