The short term TIG effect...

Not really, labour conference vote passed was

  • Vote down a bad tory deal
  • Call for a GE
  • Put forward Labours alternative brrxit plan
  • If all are rejected as a final resort back a second referendum.

Labour only step left as was agreed TIG had not much to do with it as was always gonna happen.

And good fucking work by every single one of them. They’ve shown balls and conviction at a time when the country needs it. Without doubt this has caused Labour to at last step up to the plate. They had to. Maybe my circles aren’t representative but nearly everyone I know well is a Labour voter and nearly every one of those has been outraged at Corbyn’s Brexit inertia.

The last few weeks have also suddenly moved Labour to a position of starting to look responsible for Brexit in many minds and they can’t have that stain on them.

I’m very encouraged by the way the sands are shifting again. There is still good hope to end the madness.

So within the last hour this lot have become as pointless as we knew they were.

I'm sure they'll be devastated that they may well get their way on Brexit, and may have to give up their seats in Parliament to go into much better paid private sector jobs.

Trust me for at least two of them it will be fucking devastating as the ego trip a life in Westminster gives them will be too much of a loss.

They may well have the lifetime ego trip that their actions caused Labour to change their positron, which caused the UK to remain in the EU. Hell, they'll probably be in line for cushy EU jobs.

Maybe, maybe not. TIG changes the dynamic as it can be used by MPs who are still in either main party as leverage. Also whilst this poll is well overblown, Labour leadership is suddenly finding the idea of a second ref a lot more attractive than they did a week or so back.

Rapidly ceasing to be of any relevance as the Brexit sands shift beneath their feet. I suppose they can claim their actions forced reactions.

Parliament taking control like this was always going to happen and they should have kept their powder dry imo.
