This.

Driving me mad how they can all come out to the press, Ian Austin the latest, slating the Labour party and Corbyn yet they still stand on his manifesto (at this time) and all too shit scared to call a by-election. Absolute cowards of the highest order that will do nothing but hand the Tories power for the forseeable. They should allow their constituents to let them know what they think. If this happened with my MP I'd be absolutely furious.
Our political system is broken. It deserves zero respect. Why not play it to the max?

Fair enough if they start a new party up, country needs it, and more. But let their constituents who initially voted them in decide that.

Politicians are a fuckin odd bunch. The career clearly attracts utter arseholes.

Ian Austin another one whose CLP had been considering putting a no confiedence proposal in, and has been investigated for bullying within the party has now quit labour.

He isn't joining TIG though as he is pro bexit

Because the truth of the matter is that for any of them - Tory or Labour - they know that they will face the might of the party machine that they have just left and would lose spectacularly thus depriving them of the platform that their leaving is all about. Chuka and Leslie want to be able to bang on about a new referendum, as does Soubry, Berger aout antiseimitism, and so on. I suppose in their mind there's no point in leaving, calling a by-election then entering oblivion if you want to make a point is there?

As he often does, he nails it.

Absolutely. Back in '17 with two million voters coming back to Labour on a manifesto of hope riding a wave of Corbynism, Chukka and his merry gang were fucked. They don't want a left wing Labour party that wants to end homelessness, fund public services, help the sick and vulnerable and give opportunities to everyone from all backgrounds. Fair play to them, they've bided their time and been patient and now they're getting their five minutes. The fact that they've now jumped into bed with Conservatives who have an appalling record of voting for things that have killed and hurt thousands of the most vulnerable shows their true colours.

The reason Chukka has left Labour is because he disagrees with policy on Brexit which fundamentally you must agree might harm the country and result in more poor and homeless people, what is the problem? The others have left citing abuse and even bullying, if nothing gets done about it then what do you expect them to do?

The reason those in Labour spout so much vitriol against the likes of Chukka is because differences of opinion are no longer allowed in Labour. The consequence is people call him a Blairite or worse to discredit him which is just pathetic. If he is a Blairite then so what, what is the problem???

I for one and I know MANY others will seriously consider voting for the independent group if it became possible because I like their policies and I think they could do a lot of good. Politics has been crying out for a centrist party and now I really do hope we have one.

Centrist pressure will hopefully build from this enabling us to settle Brexit and we can then get back to being a normal prosperous country.

I get that. I just personally think theyre disrespecting their consituents by not having a local election.

The IG have one goal and one thing in common and that is to stop brexit by whatever means they can.

Let’s not kid ourselves they are anything but that.
