There are still places here in the North that have no utilities today - the infrastructure in the UK is a joke - and they expect people to be paying more next year !!

another night with no power for thousands of homes tonight. It was snowing in Rothbury earlier - Govt desperate to be seen to be doing something as their useless regulator is powerless have got the army door knocking seeing if people are OK - thats just replacing exhausted and skint voluntary services who after over a week can't do it any more. If that was Kent or Sussex it would have been fixed by last Tuesday at the latest

We really need to get power lines underground in exposed areas

On metal poles would help - so many overhead wires are on rotten old wooden poles that snap in high winds
