On metal poles would help - so many overhead wires are on rotten old wooden poles that snap in high winds

Agree the wooden pole solution could be bettered, but if we had all utilities underground, then we would see much less disruption

When I was kid it kid, if it was windy, we had to put a coat on. Nowadays we have to call a name, read all about it, study the potential death toll and the knock on effect on the housing market and stare at Carol Kirkwoods warm front.
