The Joe Hart situation

<a class="postlink" href="http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/27042010/58/premier-league-hart-breaker-city.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/27042010/ ... -city.html</a>

It is understood the Premier League board felt allowing Hart, chosen as the keeper in the PFA's team of the year and a likely member of England's World Cup squad, would be too much of an advantage to City in their battle for fourth place and qualification for the Champions League

so its because he is too good

what a load of bollocks

Whoever handled the Hart loan at our end needs shooting. Seriously.

Not even putting an option to recall him. How thick can you get?

About as thick as some people not understanding the rules.

If a player is loaned out to another club in whatever division or even another country there is nothing that prevents a clause to bring the player back if required.
Obviously this would not suit all clubs looking to secure loan players and may have been the reason a recall clause was not included in this deal with Birmingham.

Doesn't that tell you everything you need to know about the premier league?

They don't want city gatecrashing their cosy cartel.

I don't like it, but this could be the chance Hart gets to be our number 1. And in the long run, it could be for the better. We definitely need to keep him.

Oh and fa can go to hell, I can't believe they actually released their statement, they didn't even TRY to cover the fact they don't want city breaking through. Its unreal that this is going on, and no action or reaction will occur. Unbelievable.

And we should also step up our plans to sell our own TV rights along with the other big teams, break up the Premier League, and form a European Super League. Make it 4 years from now instead of 6.

That would be the same clown who let Everton have Jo on loan without making it a condition of the Lescott deal. Come in Mr GC

I'd be a a bit pissed off if I was say a Villa fan or a Spurs fan and we got to sign a new top class player..etc. But surely they wouldn't have be so pissed if we recalled someone we own all ready.
But as a lot of the papers are putting it, the richest club in the game has allowed themselves to be put in a position where they've no cover for keeper, they pretty much are all saying it's all our own fault and that is kinda true, but they'think we shouldn't get get compensated because of our own pure stupidity, thinking they didn't need a 3rd vet cover.

On another note, and it's sad to read people seem to be almost happy to have Given gone for a while thinking Hart will get the no. 1 jersey now no bother thinking it's the perfect opp to get Given out and Hart in, great timing and all. Which is rather sad to hear.

And depending on who you talk to here, Given will be, apparently, out for about 3ish plus months, apparently he's having an op on Weds.
Probably the most positive of the articles I've read lately as some of the English media has taken the tone of most people on here, saying Given should be pushed aside to second choice when he's back, and he should make room for England's number one.
Anyway, hopefully it's only about 3 months he's out for, but it seems if many had their way on here he'd never wear a City jersey again if Hart's around.

Lol, like fighting for 4th, no goalie, Sunderlands third choice who let seven in last time out, AAAA LAY LOOOJAAA LETS ALL REJOICE, not!.
