You were replying to "She’s scrapped the winter fuel payments to pay for the public sector pay rises. October is going to be a bloodbath for anyone who has worked hard, been responsible, built up a pension, managed to get a few quid in the bank for old age etc. Reeves and Labour will steal it so they can piss it away as they always do."

So you were commenting not on what Reeves has done today but on guesswork about what will happen in October.

Whereas all the Tory whiners seem not to have noticed that the Tory freeze on personal allowances is a massive tax hike that wasn't in any Tory manifesto (nor the NI cuts that have contributed to the financial black hole).

Presumably you were referring to some hyperbole about the government stealing your pension then. Not sure why you took that seriously when there was absolutely no detail or relationship with anything anyone has actually suggested is going to happen.

It was a confirmatory statement to the original posters reamarks about the October budget about tax in general. And how the hard working middle class will end up paying for everything as usual as they we are the easy touch for all governments.
