A number of people said this “they’re all the same” before the election and were roundly shouted down on here. Evidence so far is those shouting down are now arguing about different shades of the same rather than true behavioural deviations from the previous government.

because that's the easy and thick position, just slag off, moan and say 'they're all the same'' ... media will always find negatives and MPs will make mistakes, that's life - but it doesn't mean 'they're all the same' - thats a tired cliche that will always be said regardless who's in charge and how they're doing.

It’s interesting you say that. Labour ministers and MPs one after another have been rolled out using the excuse of freebies is “it’s not unusual, every MP does it”. Guess they must be a bit thick and like easy sound bites eh?

Trust in politics is at an all time low. People are listening to the daily news and hearing these MPs come out and refuse to accept the optics are shit, Linkin Park summed it up well when they wrote:

It's a similar situation to party gate right or wrong doesn't come into it, it's the way it appears needs firm decisive action or will fester.
