The Labour Government

Alan, sorry to labour the point but the three kids was your analogy! The single parent working full time with these kids was also your analogy. You used that argument to justify why people were too busy to cook! I said I thought that applied to very few ie 10% and have used some numbers and simple logic to justify that claim. Now if you think I'm wrong on your points, rather than moving the goal posts, please point out why I'm wrong?

By the way I dont think £423 is alot of money to bring up three kids, which is more the reason why people should spend it wisely and cook?
It was an example.

It’s real life for more people than you think.

These people don’t have the time and even if they did, they can’t cook.

Good little debate Alan, I think I shall dissagree with your specific example for the reasons I explained. If you had chosen a different example I more than likely may have agreed with you?

Anyway I think we have done that to death, although I will add we are all lazy at times.

Moving on, I have just started watching The theory of Everything, only 5 mins in. I like your posts on this forum so have to ask, Have you seen it and what did you think?
Cheers

Each family scenario is different and will depend on how much the parent can lean on friends and family for child care. In the stats I found, there were still 30% that didn’t work. That will include the Vicky Pollard’s and the parents that can’t afford childcare.

Then there’s the bonkers tax credits system that means some parents are better off working part time. Each family will find their own way to survive.

So, in conclusion, some people are lazy, some people are ignorant, some people play the system, but all of the above make ends meet.

Good debate Mr Lawton.

I saw the film years ago. From what I recall, it’s a decent film that’s probably over-exaggerated Hawking’s life, but he led one hell of one, especially in the circumstances. The perfect type of film to clean up at the Oscars.

Enjoy!

I may be missing something but what do those articles have to do with job coaches going around harassing people with poor mental health? I'd like to see the evidence of this trial that they've done.
Sorry, crossed wires on trials
