It's not just Tory governance but also the fact that we've just entered a period where we're more indebted than at anytime in recent history in a global economy that is flat on its arse.

A lot of the problems that exist come due to the price of COVID. COVID cost the country around £350bn, it's worth around £4k in extra tax per person.

Whether the COVID policies were right or wrong is another thing but that is the cost that we must all pay. The exception is to not pay and make somebody else pay but who has £350bn sat lying around?
