benefit cheats cost taxpayers billions and many young people are not taking jobs to take benefits instead. Only right they crack down on this - why would you drop through the cracks ?

For years labour said there would be a windfall tax on the energy companies , have i missed it ? Fucking over pensioners and the sick and disabled is easier i guess

I didn’t think trying to claim benefits could be made any harder for sick and disabled people, it sounds like the government don’t believe in people suffering from long covid or people waiting for hospital appointments are sick.
The message even before Labour won the election was all about “working people” I had a sense every one else was going to pay the price.
In the end Labour won’t get time to sort out the NHS, build new homes or improve our schools because the right wing are already agitating calling for a GE.

No where near as much as tax avoidance costs the taxpayer’s
HMRC estimated £5.5 billion lost due to tax evasion in 2022-23 – 81% from small businesses (up from 66% in 2019-20
HMRC estimates around £400 million in tax was lost in 2020/21 because of avoidance schemes, and a further £800 million was lost in other forms of avoidance behaviour, i.e underreporting income and writing off personal expenses.

Altogether, that’s a whopping £1.2 billion lost to tax evasion

Growth has flattened and many pensioners are scared to death.
Never in a billion years did I think Labour would out do the Sunnak's Torries for incompetence- yet here we are.

Scared to death? By pensions going up by £41 a week over 3 years?

Or by scaremongering?

Seriously, there is pensioner poverty, but deal with that, so pensioners who need £4 a week to help pay fuel bills get it, but not pensioners who'd spend it on another flat white.
