The Labour Government

Not sure what the problem is. Hardly starmers fault that a male escort knows where starmers properties are and where he parks his car and decided to torch them.
There were a few conspiracy theorists who were trying to push about Starmer being gay, even had some weird doorbell footage. Obviously moving to the next nutjob theory.

I wonder if his security details know?

I personally don't see the issue with him being gay, having the odd gay snog near a ring doorbell, snorting coke or getting noshed off by a rent boy tbh. Probably things most of us would do in his position, and if it's in his own time then I don't see the problem. It is 2025, not 1825 after all.

The Ring doorbell thing was debunked because it was clear it was neither man and I believe it was footage caught somewhere in Boston or in Martha's vineyard and at the time neither man was anywhere near there

Well, I'd still have no problem with him snogging his boyfriend anyway. It's not like it was during pmq's
Live and let live - if he wants a bit of cock then he should happily get it.

For me I have not read any comments on what I consider the most important point re the deal on fishing.

I hear people reference that we do not have the fleet capability to do the fishing, or that UK people are not willing to do the jobs etc. etc.

What I don't hear is acknowledgement that access to our fishing waters is of high importance/value to certain EU countries. This was supposed to be a negotiation - yet we do not seem to have used the value of access to our waters as bargaining for other concessions. And then also we gave the access for an extended period - thereby throwing away future negotiation leverage.
Isn't that how we got agreement on cutting red tape for food and fish exports? You know, the red tape that your hero Frost negotiated for us to have?

Everyone knows this would happen in April apart from the government it would seem.

Don't worry Ray Ray has just said this time she will go

Further and Faster

That's even further and faster than the last time she said it and the time before and the time before.......

In fact its must be going so fast and far we can no longer see how far or fast it is. We need Brian Cox to explain it.

She is a bit like a broken record. Like all politicians she refuses to recognise her mistakes or even just the consequences of her actions.

economists expect many of these effects to be temporary.

Already, wholesale energy and commodity prices are coming down on global markets, oil prices in particular have fallen as concerns about the world economy intensified after President Trump unveiled his tariff plans.

Those should help reduce inflation as we go into 2026.

Is the tax on businesses coming down? That's will be a main driver, everyone but the Goverment pointed this out at the time, even the hapless Andrew Bailey.

Bailey and co probably won't cut interest rates as fast as he would have, this will keep housing costs higher than they have been and keep the housing market realtively quiet. The Goverments very ambitious housing targets will be even further off. The Chancellor is on a slow learning curve it would seem.

Liz Kendall given the poisoned chalice of addressing welfare reform. It certainly needs to be cut in some areas as its unsustainable. Children under 16 now claiming PIP. Parents are putting schools under pressure to diagnose some form of mental disability in their children so they qualify for PIP. Crazy

It was 2.1% when they came in.

It’s now 3.5%.

Further and faster Bob!

They are slowly deciding if they will be u turning on WFA, depends on reactions to the rumourif they are going to.

What is actually the right thing to do for pensioners doesn't come into it. Been in a year and are basing policy on optics already.

I don't recall the Government acknowledging this at the time. The Chancellor certainly hasnt accepted today that this rise is partly due to her actions has she?

Yes. Govts are notorious for eagerly publicising bad news in advance and lapping up the headlines the next day. It’s catnip for politicians. Ditto actions taken to raise revenue as well as pumping monies back into the economy via public sector pay increases or whatever. ‘Yes, I did that!’ are words you often hear when there is a bad economic indicator.

Equally, when it’s Brexit resets, trade deals or the economy growing faster than expected they are nowhere to be seen. Politicians are such a modest bunch.

We all know the game, so let’s stop kidding each other.

You stated that the Government accepted that their tax rises would result in inflation hoping up this April. Simple, show me the evidence ?
