Then yet again we disagree. Why don’t you move to the USA then, where they have a president that seems to share many of your values.

Do you always partially select and misquote?
Well if it works for you and helps you feel good, then carry on kidding yourself.
NO. I don't think so. Why would should I? Anybody could do that. Anyway I prefer bent and corrupt Ministers much more sport in that.Have you ever started a thread about the misconduct of any Reform candidate or MP ?
Provided the money was thrown at helping businesses, I don't see it being inflationary. Who knows though. And I agree they can't go after pensions, not because it's political suicide (although I agree about that) but because you'd HAVE to give people reasonable notice. You cannot just take money off pensioners immediately when they have no earnings and ability to plan or adjust. It's like when they change the retirement age, they have to give like 10 years notice (or whatever - a long time anyway). So it wouldn't raise any money in the short term. And we have a budget problem right now.The concern with that strategy though is that throwing £100b into an economy that’s struggling with high inflation will only exacerbate the problem more.
There will be loads of winners (in the form of political donators) who do incredibly well off the back of said loan, but for the average man on the street it could mean higher prices and a real-term loss of wealth.
I think the most obvious area in need of reform is pensions - but no politician would go there because it’s career suicide.
I said 5 years or so, did I not? I'm guessing you don't know that the overall budget is £1.3 Tn and that repaying £40bn per year through increasing tax receipts is like 3%. £30bn over 7 years is 2 percent which is well achievable if we get the growth we need.I am sure in a world gripped by a trade war and the chaos and uncertainty it brings, the markets will nod sagely and agree that borrowing £100 billion to cut taxes is just the very thing the UK economy needs.
Repay it back in five years you say? Well, that sounds very reasonable. Perhaps we could make it £200 billion and really go to town? Excellent! Just sign here.
Well it's not fucking different right now is it comrade. That’s a lot of ‘reform’, oh and it includes ‘cultural and educational reform’? That doesn’t sound remotely Orwellian. No more free thinkers in the UK! Bring back colonialism and know your place! Yes! That means you, boy, you know who you are!
Click your shiny heeled boots together three times, Dorothy and you too will be transported to the sunlit uplands. I know it didn’t work out first time around, but trust me, this time it will be different.
How ? we are being bombarded by doom and gloom daily, looks at BigJoe and Chippy daily attacks against Labour constantly
Whoever forms the next government it will be a hell of a job .
NO. I don't think so. Why would should I?
Better than pissing your pants day after day over a war in Palestine that the government can do fuck all about.Lol. Can't imagine why you are such a fan of a man who has earned the moniker of "Labour's MAGA lord'

Aside from that he was involved in the leadership campaign of 4% Liz in 2015 and has a long association with Mcsweeney, hence the recent articles that have piqued your interest.
There are 'blue labour' fingerprints all over this government yet day after day you are in here pissing your pants about some phantom left wing menace that is holding them back.
I have an agenda against Labour. Will that do?To prove that it’s not just Labour you have a agenda against.
I don't remember Labour cutting the Tories much slack after the shitshow they had to pick up after 13 years of Labour in 2010.Exactly what I said for the last 14 years of Tories, Labour come in and had more than a hell of job in one year , I’m actually suprised how much they’ve achieved considering the mess they’ve inherited- but the attacks on Labour have been relentless from the get go and no acknowledgment of the task they’ve had to face taking over the Tories.
We can agree it was a mess , we can agree it wasn't going to be easy but that's about it. They really haven't helped themselves, it is calamitous, the next election will be fought on immigration and the economy and they are shot on both already . It won't be enough to say they organised some kids breakfasts, paid off the rail unions etc, no one will even remember.Exactly what I said for the last 14 years of Tories, Labour come in and had more than a hell of job in one year , I’m actually suprised how much they’ve achieved considering the mess they’ve inherited- but the attacks on Labour have been relentless from the get go and no acknowledgment of the task they’ve had to face taking over the Tories.
You know full well that is not what I mean. Have you visited any of our major museums of late? Have a look at the notes on the exhibits and how are history is being distorted.I’m not convinced colonialism is the answer. Who do you have earmarked for invasion and conquest? Let me know some countries you have on the list and I’ll check out the feasibility of the UK colonising them.
Wow. Mocking people for being concerned about genocide. Have the working people of this country no interest in stopping genocide? Do their values really stop at our borders?Better than pissing your pants day after day over a war in Palestine that the government can do fuck all about.
Glassman at least is focused on the interests and values of the working people of this country.
You forgot to tag in Kowalski.Stalking..
From what I see it seems your prodigious output rarely amounts to more than a paragraph, just a little dig here a little niggle there, but I'm the stalker.
Have a look at your own output I would suggest.
"Gordon Brown has been rated the most successful post-War Chancellor in an exclusive Ipsos poll of nearly 300 academics belonging to the Political Studies Association (PSA).We can agree it was a mess , we can agree it wasn't going to be easy but that's about it. I know you feel Labour have had a rough ride but it does work both ways, I had an exchange with another poster this week in regard to this constant narrative off the last 14 years being responsible for all our ills. It just isn't true, the Tories were dreadful but the malaise in the public accounts started with Gordon Brown, yet that is now forgotten.
The last Labour government was blighted by the Financial crash, the Tories had Brexit, Covid and Ukraine to deal with, they all made mistakes but we are all to partisan to acknowledge the difficulties each others side faced.
A bunch of second rate lefty academics endorse a second rate lefty chancellor - quelle surprise."Gordon Brown has been rated the most successful post-War Chancellor in an exclusive Ipsos poll of nearly 300 academics belonging to the Political Studies Association (PSA).
PSA members rated Gordon Brown's performance on average as 7.9 out of 10 -- his nearest rivals were Kenneth Clarke (Conservative Chancellor between 1993 and 1997) and Stafford Cripps (Labour Chancellor between 1947 and 1950), both rated as 6.1 out of 10. Norman Lamont (Conservative Chancellor between 1990 and 1993) was rated as the least successful of the UK's 20 post-War Chancellors, with an average score of just 2.3.
Brown is also rated as the most successful Chancellor in terms of providing economic stability, working independently from the Prime Minister and leaving a lasting legacy on Britain's economy."
I'm assuming Hertz is not one of the 300 academics?
I think Brown was competent but only at implementing flawed ideology. He thought it was a good idea to raise as much tax as possible so the state could give it back to people again in benefits. Thereby introducing hundreds of stealth taxes and other tax rises and a huge increase in the size of the state.A bunch of second rate lefty academics endorse a second rate lefty chancellor - quelle surprise.
We all know what Brown’s lasting legacy for the UK economy was as well - hundreds of billions of pounds of debt and an out of control deficit, all because he couldn’t regulate the banking sector properly.
I'm sure you right wingers know best and you in particular will have vetted all 300 to make such a bold, but twattish statement!A bunch of second rate lefty academics endorse a second rate lefty chancellor - quelle surprise.
