The Labour Party

So that's 20% of shares to be handed over to the workforce, seat on the board for one, dividends to be paid out to them, 3 day weekend, women to be able to take flexi time once a month and when the menopause hits.

It really is for the birds isn't it?

Like the policy on free prescriptions though as we have to face up to the fact that our NHS needs to be fully funded by us all paying a bit extra.

Women of a certain age will end up taking about 40 extra days off on the sick, it’s not a “good idea”. Many people overcome health issues to still work, this is ridiculous idea put forward by a member of the loony left. I’ve just asked my wife if she would have wanted to discuss the issue when she was working, not a chance was the answer and it had no effect on her working life.

Please pass on my condolences to your wife.

Looking at a 4 day working week.

Fucking hell, yet another policy that shows that Labour haven't got a clue when it comes to small & medium sized businesses.

No need she agrees with him and id wager a huge majority of the population and women in this country who will find someone telling them they need to take it easy once a month or at a certain time of life and come away from work or a career as patronising as fuck.

Do you pat yours on the head?

Its for the birds but the trade unionists will be frothing at the mouth.

No. She’s black. You never touch a black woman’s hair. And live.

McCluskey has told Thornberry and those like her in cabinet to get behind Corbyn on brexit or get out lol.

Then she was very lucky. Other women, during the menopause particularly, go to work feeling like shit. I'm on HRT because without it my symptoms are intense and intolerable. To have the chance to have discussed how I felt with my line manager, who was a woman, without fearing they were thinking "what's the problem? Just get on with it..." would have helped.

You’re confusing productivity with number of hours worked.

Er, no I'm not.

I employ one person at the moment. If I ask them to do the same amount of work in less time then either they are going to tell me to fuck off or the standard of their work is going to suffer. If I give them less work to do because they will be working less hours then I'm not going to pay them as much.

So, we're both losers.

Can I ask, are you a business owner who employs anyone?

The problem with most companies is you could have a leg hanging off and they would expect you to hop into work. I love the old back to work meetings where they discuss the problem and how they can help, ie stop being sick you lazy bugger.

Tbf the comment making out talking to women about the menopause or offering sulport i the workplace if they want it being a bad thing women wouldn't want seems very archaic, next someone will say they have never gone the shops for tampons for their wife

A lot of firms employ people on 4 day week contracts at present, why making it more frequent as long as productivity isn't affected seems a reasonable idea.

Who doesn't want an extra day off it offered.

My sickness record is fine, thankfully. However, I believe some managers at our place telephone the unwell employee at midday to see if they are better and now able to come into work. Maybe understandable for some conditions but for stress or flu??
