The Labour Party is finished. The centrists have won, it will be just another party of capital and we already have two of them. It will be back to the days where whoever you vote for you get the same kowtowing to capital and the same worshipping at the altar of neo-liberalism.
Starmer is so wooden birds are nesting on his head and his performance today at PMQs was nothing short of shameful for a leader of a once great party. No doubt he will be top and tailing with Johnson tonight as they give each other reach arounds under the bedsheets. The party is already reverting to its Blairite stance on imperialistic adventure and trying to out do the Tories on hard right rhetoric, Nandy's performance om Marr was disgusting for a Labour MP. The crowing from traitors to Socialism like Hodge and the idiot Streeting make me feel sick.
Worst of all are the lunatics from the FBFE group, who think that Starmer is there saviour and will save them from leaving the EU. The backstabbing **** knew what he was doing when he selfishly fucked up Labour stances on the EU with half baked peoples vote nonsense, it paved the way for him to be leader. There is no way the red wall will be red again whilst he is leader and that means a generation of Tory rule which is no good for anyone apart from American healthcare companies eyeing big fat juicy chunks of the NHS and the outsourcing companies eager to take state largesse for doing fuck all. Its no wonder Starmer's backers are wooping with delight. He has destroyed the mass membership and replaced it with a funding for favours model that is similar to the Tories.
There is calls today for Unions to pull funding from the Labour party, if that happens and the membership carries on dwindling at the rate it is then all that will be left is a rotting carcass devoid of ideas, ideologically opposed to Socialism and pro-free market. The UK will become like the US where there is a fag paper between the parties on economic policy with beholden to corporate interests.
Its a fucking crying shame its come to this and loads of people I know on the left of the party have had enough, we voted for Blair in the hope we might get something better than what we had, when it was our turn we were stabbed in the back, plotted against and defamed, abused and ridiculed by the very people we had supported. They turned on us with everything they had and are complicit in enabling this awful Govt. Now the cheeky cunts have the gall to demand we show party unity, why the fuck should I back Starmer who I have virtually nothing in common with. The labour leadership has fucked the left off and as a result it will never see power, but at least people will say its electable even if there is not a chance in fucking hell of that happening.
The greats of the Labour party will be turning in their graves at what has happened to the party, on a day where its finest ever achievement is under threat the fucking clown of a leader asks the PM at PMQs fuck all about it and instead spouts imperialistic bullshit about Russia. For shame Starmer for fucking shame.
Just start up your own party and don't hide behind anything like the "Labour Party" name to generate support, because it's not there anymore; not in the way you might think.
Call it the Socialist/Marxist Labour Party and platform for precisely what you aim for.
At the moment it does appear like the "Labour" name meant more to the public than what it actually stood for. People don't remember Attlee, they don't remember the 1910's. They remember New Labour, they remember how things were progressing for a while. They remember the landslide victory. The Labour Party identity you feel it should be is long dead in the eyes of the general voting public and what socialists like yourself want to bring to the public consciousness doesn't exist on the wider scale that you want.
Most people just see "Labour" as the alternative to "Tories". You're never going to change that perception and when you tired it was wholly rejected by the electorate because it's not what they associate Labour to be or mean these days.
A clean break, a fresh start and a new party will see just how much the public wants what you and your comrades (no pun intended) feel is best for the country. If this new party and its policies are rejected once more, then you can conclusively state that the majority don't want what you think it wants, as the current Labour figures are based on those who support Corbyn, and those who support New Labour, but the numbers mash together and both sides of the Labour Party insist that the voters voted for
their version of the party's identity.
If it does do well, you'll be able to govern without having to "Live up" to the "Labour" tag that plagued Corbyn's tenure, as people these days simply do not associate "Labour" of the modern era with the "Labour" that established it's identity in the Edwardian era. If the socialists stay in this "New Labour", the public will simply reject the party as to many "it's not the Labour they remember", (being Blair's Labour) A split is needed, a new socialist party formed, and campaigned on the policies you want to see. The Labour identity is a huge weight of expectation around your necks, one you won't be able to meet in the eyes of the public if you stay in this new New Labour Party.
