Is there an argument that for a country to be successful that some people *need* to be left behind? A country cannot improve the lot of every but if most are ok and not concentrating on the bad stuff than it’s a price worth paying?
I don’t necessarily agree with my statement nor do I expect anyone politician to actually come out with it, sugar coated or otherwise. It’s just a thought with came into my head
How many educated and skilled people are ‘left behind’? I don’t know but maybe as a population if we took education and skills more seriously the population could improve its own lot rather than pointing at the EU, single mothers, immigrants, Hilary and her emails etc - you get where I’m going with this? The politicians/establishment would rather we argue amongst ourselves than have an educated population which asks questions rather than look for scapegoats and quick fixes
Rees-Mogg and the like couldn’t give a monkey’s about the populations A-Level results as long as his college is producing the next PM, CEO of X company, the next great poet etc. How many educated people does a country actually need to function? Not many
Treat the population like mushrooms - keep them in the dark and feed them shit
