The Labour Party

Impressive this from Jezza.

While the whole room keeps giving him umpteen standing ovations, there's the odd few who are rooted to their seats, arms folded, looking like cunts.

Wind farms and hydro plants
Government owned infrastructure and increased use of regional areas to spread the wealth.
Pharmaceuticals made to offer british produced cheap drugs, with pescriptions abolished.
Renationalised transport and new cross rail north built.
Massive social housing buildimg programe.
Investment in NHS.
Commitment to referendum and what ever result it has.
Scraping the tory trade union laws
Big investment in education.
And many more policies to improve the nations life and welbeing.

All round a set of proposals that all people can like.

Oh and a gaurantee the retirement age willl not be 75

Free national education service for life. Investment not provision.

Brilliant, I can finally do a 2nd degree and everyone else can learn whatever they want until they die. That is an extraordinary supply side measure that could deal with the productivity gap.

There was only three of them, two are MP's who's names I've forgot but spend every day attacking him.

Thousands there mate absolutely fucking lapping it up, he has them eating out of his hand.

He nailed it today.

You're right, if one views it by constituency around 70% of Tory and 60% of Labour constituencies voted leave.

This has implications for MPs because they are elected on a constituency basis, referendums of course are not.

Lord Ashcroft Polls conducted a poll on election night in 2017 in which 25% of those who said they had voted Leave in 2016, said they had voted Labour - that would be 3.2 million.

The latest estimate from Comres is that 26% of those who voted Labour in 2017 voted Leave in 2016 - that's 3.3 million people.

And YouGov reckons that 29% of those who voted Labour in 2017 and voted in the EU Referendum, voted Leave - that's about 3.5 million.

Whatever figure you believe, the conclusion is the same, in terms of numbers, most Labour voters voted remain.

This - Labour has far more remainers to lose than leavers. Many have already left.

On the other hand

The tories have far more moderates and remainers to lose than they do hardcore no deal leavers.

No such thing as a safe seat anymore.

Lots of good policies, how are they planning to afford it all?

Lots of good policies, how are they planning to afford it all?

Did you ask the same of johnsons promises the last few weeks?
As he seems to think the country can afford it while giving tax breaks so I am guessing labour have weighed up the same conundrum and found a solution

They have charitable status which gives them the tax breaks. This has been the subject of debate given the high fees charged make it more an exclusive club beyond the reach of most than a charity and on the recent review it was decided that there need only be a token benefit for the less well off. It’s a high end business masquerading as a charity. Hammond tried to end some of the tax breaks but May losing her majority in 2017 put paid to that.

High end business masquerading as charity! They are not for profit, therefore, any profit made cannot be distributed and has to be reinvested in the business of providing high quality education. These are not private commercial businesses and the staff are not on spectacular salaries; regardless of which, the employees pay tax on those salaries, which in a normal business would be tax deductible. So the tax break from having charitable status is not unreasonable and is what should help fund scholarships and bursaries.

The charitable status is not the reason independent schools do not charge VAT. The reason is that they fall into the group of eligible bodies, including universities, where the provision of education for a fee is deemed to be VAT exempt. Rightly so but then maybe you’d like to see all Russell Group universities charge VAT on their fees!

Wonderful leader our Mr Corbyn will be, change is coming fuck austerity ??for the many not the few.vote labour and get rid of these twats in power once and for all.
