Khan was 1/100 to be mayor yesterday and Hall 40/1.

Currently Khan is 1/4 and Hall 5/2.

Must be getting close. Some polling had him 25% clear

Polling was all over the place, with some having it close. Khan is going for his third term and has lost popularity. Factor in any Gaza backlash and complacency from people thinking he has it won and who knows.

Upside is Hall is a racist conspiracy loon so a term of her in office will be a constant reminder of Tory incompetence.

People interested in providing an efficient public service?

Why not? People who’ve done well elsewhere maybe wanting to do it for a gong or, heck, even altruistic reasons rather than for financial.

The far bigger problem is the staff who aren’t interesting in providing an efficient service - and whilst not the majority it’s a sizeable and vocal section.

I’m enjoying that result we have to put up with no trains upgrade for the North, London has all the tax revenue spent on infrastructure always has had.
